In this quiet wooded area is the Rhodo Lodge. A detached cottage with a large fenced garden full of Rhododendrons; ideal for people and animals! There are several terraces to enjoy this beautiful garden at any time of the day. Nearby are many cycling and hiking routes. Like the well-known Vechtdalpad. In somewhat less favorable weather conditions, you can fully enjoy the available wood stove and games. The space GENERAL Rhodo Lodge is a recently renovated bungalow in a beautiful wooded area. The large windows provide a view of the garden all around. There are many birds and squirrels here. KITCHEN The open kitchen is fully equipped. Such as an induction hob, dishwasher, combi-oven/microwave, coffee maker (filter, Nespresso). Tea, hand and dish towels are provided upon arrival. LIVING ROOM The cozy living room has a spacious corner sofa and a dining table suitable for six people. There is also the possibility to use the wood stove (at an additional cost). The television is equipped with a Chromecast, streaming services NOT included. There are two dog cushions (approx. 60 x 85 and 70 x 90) and 3 (metal) feeding bowls that may be used. BATHROOM The bathroom, renovated in 2024, contains a nice bathroom furniture with plenty of storage space, a lovely shower with thermostat faucet and upon arrival the towels are ready for you. SLEEPING There are 3 bedrooms, all equipped with mosquito nets. Bedroom 1 contains a double Emma-Sleep bed with top mattress, 160x200. Bedroom 2 contains a 140x200 double bed with top mattress. Bedroom 3 contains a pull-out bed with 2 separate mattresses of 80x200. All beds are provided with two single duvets with pillow, duvet cover and fitted sheet. GARDEN The garden can be reached via the gate as well as the sliding door. The sliding door has a screen door. In the garden, several private seating areas have been created, see the attached photos. Guest access You have access to the entire bungalow and garden. At the front door hangs a Ring video doorbell for when the house is unoccupied. Once you are present, the camera will be turned off. WHAT TO DO AROUND RHODO LODGE? The nearby 5-star Capfun campsite is accessible with the passes available in the bungalow. Capfun has a great water park with a recreational lake of 5 hectares with a sandy beach. You can use the campsite's facilities for a small fee. The season is from April to October. Further in the area, you will find Attractiepark Slagharen, about 15 minutes by car. There are also plenty of nice places to visit such as Hardenberg, Ommen or Hoogeveen. Supermarkets: 8 km The bungalow park is not easily accessible by public transportation. You can park the car directly at the cottage or in the nearby parking lot. Other things to note OPEN FIRE OUTSIDE NOT PERMITTED Due to the fire hazard in this wooded area, open fires are NOT allowed. GARDEN HOUSE Due to items for the maintenance of the house and garden, please do not allow children without a parent/supervision in the garden house. ODOR POLICY In order not to be in the baking air of the previous tenants, gourmet, barbecue, fondue and frying are not allowed. SMOKING/DRUGS/E-CIGARETTE NOT PERMITTED If, during or after your stay, we find that there has been smoking in the bungalow, the smoke detector has been removed/sabotaged, we will charge you €200.00 for the extra cleaning costs and the damage suffered. PARK RULES Between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m., it should be quiet outside. Please be considerate of other vacationers in the park.
