Shauna's Shack

Our cabin has been freshly renovated & decorated with the utmost of care & comfort in mind, "Territory Tough" is a real thing but your accommodation need not be!! Set on 20 acres (with 5 of those being manicured gardens) this is a peaceful escape for those wanting to keep a close base but avoid town. Located just outside of Katherine in a beautiful rural setting, 7km from town & 12km to Tindal RAAF base. Shauna's Shack is a super comfortable & safe location for your Territory visit. The space Shauna's Shack is a fully self contained 1 bedroom cabin of generous proportions & high ceilings. It has a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, oven, cooktop, medium sized fridge/freezer combo, a microwave & all the utensils required to cook for yourself should you wish. The kitchen is combined with the dining area. A modern new dining setting for 4 including plate ware, cutlery & glassware (wine glasses, charcuterie board & cheese knives too) make this an enjoyable spot to sit & enjoy the scenery of the gardens outside. The internal laundry boasts a clever new washing machine & dryer, large sink, over sized mirror & clothes airer. This functional space leads through to the bathroom. Here you’ll find a new dual shower head installed & enjoy the feeling of rainwater over town water. All water within the cabin is rainwater from tanks on the property, the toilet is clean & modern, the hand basin is small but enough. The living/bedroom space is the biggest of all. This section houses a king sized bed, a good sized robe & an abundance of drawers along with desk space & a comfortable office chair. It also has a generous sized chaise sofa bed suitable for 2 adults (again linen is supplied) & most importantly the 65inch smart TV is on a swivel mount so you can watch TV on the lounge or in bed. The cabin has 2 split system air conditioners & 3 ceiling fans installed to keep you cool. The bedroom/living area has blockout curtains for those that prefer a solid sleep in. Loads of space, manicured gardens, tropical palms, access to a pool & an outdoor entertainment area ensure you will enjoy your downtime here whilst visiting Katherine. Guest access Guests have full exclusive use of the cabin and an allocated parking spot (multiple shaded spaces are available if needed) however the pool is shared with the house residents and potential guests from the singular camp site. A generous sized outdoor area including bbq, outdoor kitchen & dining setting plus bathroom is also available for use a few metres from the cabin, this area may be shared with guests using the singular camping spot located against the boundary line of the property. For a better idea of space you can refer to the aerial pic, the area boxed in red is Shauna's Shack. Other things to note Please note this space is NOT suitable for young children. There are multiple unfenced waterways on the property and we reserve the right to refuse any booking that may pose a risk to young children.
