This cozy duplex has a great location right in Silverton, Colorado just a couple minutes walk from Main Street, the grocery store, liquor store, and everything else town has to offer. Windows specifically placed for views and decorative relics from the early mining days give you the feeling of historic Silverton with the comforts of a modern stay. From the front yard you can hear the waterfall on Kendall and watch the train chug into town. Truly the perfect stay all your San Juan adventures. The space The original 1903 home was stripped to the bones and rebuilt in 2012 giving an old home all the comforts of today. Inside you’ll find two spacious bedrooms and new bathroom with an early 1900’s feel. The cute kitchen is stocked with everything you might need to make your home cooked meal. There are two comfortable living rooms, one with sliding barn doors that can be closed to make a third bedroom with a pull out couch. Soaking in the views of Kendall from the living room sofa is a perfect way to relax after a day of adventuring. Guest access You will have access to a private downstairs apartment, while the upstairs apartment is also a long-term rental. You will have a private entry to a 2/3 bedroom and 1 bath apartment with a conveniently designed kitchen and two very nice living rooms. The kitchen comes stocked with everything one might need to prepare a meal. Coffee is supplied and basic spices are included for cooking. There are two TVs in the home that have access to Netflix and one DVD player, but there is no cable TV. Other things to note Sometimes in the winter the mountain passes close in both directions (due to avalanches) and access to Silverton is completely cut off. This is our favorite time in town, but it can ruin travel plans. Make sure to plan accordingly.
