Forget your worries and relax as a couple, with friends or with the whole family in this peaceful and quiet accommodation on the edge of Bwejuu village. The house is located on a small hill and has wonderful sea views. The beautiful, still very untouched and authentic Bwejuu beach is only a 5-minute walk away, as is the main street with some small shops and street food stands. Getting to the city takes less than 10 minutes by car/taxi/bus. The space The Wakushi House is not just an accommodation, it has been our home for 4 years, which we built on our own with a lot of hard work and a lot of sweat. It is our retreat where we come together and recharge our energies. Despite the construction boom in recent years, it has still remained a very idyllic and natural place. All rooms have a large double bed (180cm×200cm), mosquito net and fan. 2 rooms with sea view and balcony, 1 room of which also has its own bathroom. A second bathroom is also available. The third bedroom usually functions as a living room when there are fewer than 6 guests in the property. The kitchen has a large dining table with a comfortable seating area and has everything you need to be able to cater for yourself. But if you don't like being in the kitchen yourself, we'll be happy to take care of that. Breakfast, lunch and/or dinner are available at an additional cost and easy to arrange upon check-in. Guest access The entire upper floor of the house is available to the guests. No matter whether you are traveling alone, as a couple or with your family/friends. There is separate access via an outside staircase. My Austrian wife, our 3-year-old son, our cat Mo and I live on the ground floor. We also have some chickens who provide us with delicious eggs for breakfast every now and then. You can use the entire outdoor area with a huge garden and a small forest. An ideal place to unwind and relax in the hammock or as an adventure playground for children. Other things to note We have been living on the island for some time and lead a very uncomplicated and simple life. We have our own water well and a small but nice solar system for power supply. The upper floor that we rent out has recently been connected to the official electricity grid, so that your stay with us is comfortable and you feel at home. However, you should know that we have no hot water and no high-speed internet. WiFi is of course available for emails, social media etc. Half of the windows/doors are not glazed and only have security grilles and mosquito nets. We also use the wind from the sea for natural ventilation. A nice side effect of the open windows and doors is the sound of the sea in the distance. Since our house is located a little away from the village and is surrounded by forest/bush, there are many birds, geckos and other small animals and insects that we live with here. From time to time you can also hear the muezin calling people to prayer and music from the village at weddings, other celebrations or sometimes on weekends. It always depends on how the wind is blowing.
