Today, this charming home is a 5-minute drive from the nearest village. Nestled in a clearing in the woods, it offers unparalleled tranquility and peace. The space A dive into the past, but enriched with modern comforts. The house has been renovated preserving the natural materials in wood and stone. The original structure is still visible, with the old stable distinctly separated from the house. House Features Living Area: the lower floor houses a large fully equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with fireplace and wood-burning oven perfect for warming up on cold winter evenings, and a bathroom. Sleeping Area: upstairs are three bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Two bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, while the third is equipped with two single beds that can be joined on request. Outdoor spaces: a courtyard equipped with a barbecue for outdoor dining and a relaxation area ideal for the summer. A true refuge in Nature, Abissinia is the perfect place for those who want to unplug and immerse themselves in nature. Despite the apparent isolation, the house is equipped with 4G and Wi-Fi, which guarantee the possibility of staying connected. Accessibility: To reach Abissinia, you need to travel about 1.5 km of dirt road. This road is accessible by car, but it is advisable to pay attention if you are driving a car with a very low ground clearance. Other things to note I get a lot of questions about the partly dirt road that leads to the property. I'll try to talk about it in more detail: from the village of Carniana, where the asphalt actually ends and the road begins in the mixed gravel/land/asphalt, it is necessary to drive for just over a km on what is a mostly flat chary. In this first stretch of road, you only need to pay attention to a few holes, which can be easily circumvented. The last 300 meters are downhill. This descent is entirely paved except for the final 100 meters where you meet the gravel again. For anyone accustomed, or who has already driven on dirt roads, it's all very simple. For those who have never had a chance or do not feel completely comfortable driving on white roads, the advice I feel like giving, and which has always been appreciated, is this: on the way back from the house, face these 100 meters in gravel and light climb, in the first march and constant gas. The car will arrive on the asphalt without blinking. You will drive back to the flat part and 3-4 minutes later you will be back in the village of Carniana. I remain at your disposal for any need -------------------------------------------------- Early check-in: If you would like to arrive earlier, you can request an early check-in free of charge in some cases. If the house is not occupied the night before, we can agree on an early check-in time together. However, confirmation can only be given the evening before or on the morning of arrival. If, on the other hand, the house is occupied the night before, it will not be possible to offer early check-in, as all the hours between check-out (11:00) and check-in (16:00) will be needed to prepare the accommodation. In the event that the previous guests check out early, I will make sure to notify you so that you can enter earlier. --- Late check-out requests: Late check-out is generally not available free of charge, as I have to ensure the house is available for any new guests from 4:00 pm. Cleaning and tidying up take a few hours, making it difficult to offer more flexibility. Guaranteed availability: If you would like more flexibility with your arrival or departure times, you can book a stay extension for €80. This will allow you to: access the house from 8:00 am (early check-in), or leave it by 6:00 pm (late check-out).
