Castle master bedroom

The castle is located in the heart of Cantal, in Anglards-de-Salers, on the route du Falgoux and Puy Mary (30 km), 20 minutes from the medieval village of Salers, ranked among the most beautiful in France. Immersed in the sumptuous Mars Valley, in an enchanting setting, the Château de Longevergne is a small wonder on a human scale, with troubadour architecture and neo-Gothic decor, the first traces of which date back to the 13th century. You will be staying in its very first guest room. The space Nestled on the 2nd floor of the castle, this guest room is accessed by its spiral and Volvic stone stairs occupying the octagonal tower. It offers a space of about 40 m². In its center, an old-fashioned island bathtub with lion's feet brings an undeniable character and promises sweet moments of relaxation as a couple. A screen, nicely painted in the fashion of the 18th century, will be useful to the most modest of you. So the bathroom is built into the bedroom. There is also a cozy king-size bed for peaceful nights at will, and period furniture, most of which is original. We wanted to bring out the authenticity of the place, including the hardwood floors, exposed beams and cut stones framing the windows. You will enjoy stunning views of the beautiful Mars Valley for a stay as serene as possible. The small toilet is self-contained, it is located in the hallway, just opposite the second door of the bedroom, and it is fully privatized. Breakfast (continental) is included. It will be served in the garden or dining room, according to your wishes and the weather. NB: this room, located in height (2 floors), and equipped as you have understood with a bathtub, is unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility or reluctant to this type of layout. We prefer to emphasize this in order to avoid any disappointment or inconvenience. The entire castle will not be visible yet this summer due to its progressive restoration. You can nevertheless enjoy several rooms, including its original library, its dining room, its kitchen on the ground floor, as well as its garden with the sound of the bells, in which you will be free to picnic at noon or evening to admire our sublime sunsets. You will have the honor of opening this room which has been ready since July 23, 2024 only! If necessary, we will be happy to guide you in the organization of your stay in Cantal.
