The Boathouse

Nestled against the bluff this well appointed cabin exudes rustic charm while offering an extraordinary beachfront hideaway sure to bring you back! Steps outside the front door is the crescent pebble beach perfect for a swim, paddle, or to simply soak up all nature has to offer. The Boathouse offers stunning views of the coastal mountains as well as scenic Heriot Bay. Enjoy the evening light and watch the moon rise from the private firepit area. The space The Boathouse is complete with a functional kitchen including fridge, gas cooktop, Nepresso coffee maker and French press, microwave, toaster and convection/airfryer countertop oven. The private deck on the water side of the cabin is perfect to enjoy a meal or simply take in the beauty of the coastal mountain range and Heriot Bay. The covered back porch provides for all weather grilling. You will find we appreciate quality cookware, dishes and glassware! Outside dishes are provided for beach dining! A number of extras are available including insulated cups, water bottles, lantern, bath robes, beach towels, yoga mat etc to ensure ease and comfort during your stay. The Boathouse is an open concept studio layout with a queen size bed complete with our favourite mattress from Logan and Cove. The bedroom area is situated on the platform two steps above the living area providing the perfect vantage point to enjoy the view. A full tub and shower completes the bathroom. Quality linens and towels are provided. Of note, we have recently updated the cabin to include a composting toilet. There is no smoking in the cabin. Guest access The Boathouse has its own space. This includes deck space front and back of the cabin as well as a gravel sitting area at the edge of the beach complete with adirondack chairs and propane fire pit. Future plans include steps to the beach direction in front of the Boathouse. Until those are complete, access to the beach is best gained down the ramp directly in front of the pole shed under construction. The Boathouse is located at the far left of the crescent shaped beach with The Beach House cabin at the right. Guests are asked to be mindful of others when enjoying the beach. This includes avoiding the space directly in front of the cabin you are not occupying. Other things to note The Boathouse is so enchanting! We have worked to curate a space that affords relaxation and restoration. We recommend 1-2 people understanding the space is well appointed and highly functional yet lends to retreat, quiet, and privacy. Guests are welcome to entertain visitors but we ask numbers be limited and restricted to space allocated to The Boathouse. Quiet is 10pm - 9am.
