The fully renovated “Ferienwohnung Cinema Forst,” rated 4 stars by the DTV, offers approximately 105 m² of living space and a roughly 360 m² garden with its own sauna, warm outdoor shower, covered terrace, and barbecue for exclusive use. A home theater with a 110-inch screen, 4K HDR projector, and Teufel 5.1 sound system, along with a private library with over 1,000 books, ensures an exceptional vacation. Underfloor heating, a bathtub, a walk-in shower, and a sun deck make even more dreams come true. The space The apartment Cinema is housed in the former village school of Forst (Eifel), which is framed between a church and the former rectory. It has about 105 m² of living space and a garden of about 360 m² with a private sauna*, a warm outdoor shower and a barbecue for exclusive use. In the fully renovated interior, you will find, among other things, a bedroom (approx. 14 m²) with a double bed (1.8 x 2 m) and a spacious bathroom (approx. 9 m²) with a walk-in shower, a large corner bathtub for 2 people, and a washing machine. The open-plan living concept, featuring a fully equipped kitchen (approx. 15 m²) and a dining and lounge area (approx. 66 m²), offers a special highlight in the form of a home theater with a 110-inch screen, a 4K HDR laser projector, and a powerful Teufel 5.1 sound system, as well as a private library with over 1,000 books. The entire living room area has underfloor heating and Wi-Fi. The room lighting can be freely selected in warm white as well as in RGB via remote control. The bedroom has an electric shutter. The windows of the apartment are equipped with pleats as well as one of the windows in the bedroom and two of the windows in the living room with screens. For your safety, each room is equipped with smoke/heat alarms. A fire extinguisher, fire blanket, and carbon monoxide detector (CO detector) complete the safety devices in addition to battery-powered emergency lighting, and a first aid box. All wall sockets in the apartment also have increased contact protection ("child-proofing") on the manufacturer's side. The apartment is extra allergy-friendly and has a living room ventilation system; as well as a mobile air purifier if needed. Animals and smoking are therefore not allowed in the apartment. From the apartment, you can go directly to the large, fenced garden with sauna*, warm outdoor shower, seating, sun loungers and barbecue facilities, which are available for your exclusive, sole use. For our young guests, the garden also offers a nest swing and a sandbox. The sauna* and the warm outdoor shower are designed in such a way that they are shielded by a privacy screen and cannot be seen from neighboring properties. Parking is available in the yard as well as the possibility to charge an electric car and store bicycles. Explore the area on foot, with the bikes provided (a men and a women's bike; if needed a bike incl. child seat) or by car. The apartment officially registered and approved by the authorities was also reviewed by the German Tourism Association (DTV) on September 18, 2024 and rated the whole 4 stars based on the amenities and the service (for occupancy of 2 people). The apartment is geared to use with two people (1 bedroom with double bed). However, two other people can also stay on the pull-out sofa bed in the living area. We provide a baby cot free of charge if needed. The nearest highway (A 48) as well as shopping facilities (Rewe, Edeka, Lidl, Aldi, Rossmann, Netto, Norma...) can be reached in about 10 minutes. Within about half an hour, you can expect highlights such as Eltz Castle, Cochem and Pyrmont Castle, the Eifler Maare, the Hanging rope bridge Geierlay, Laacher See, the Genovevaburg in Mayen or the castles in Manderscheid. Koblenz with the German corner, the Ehrenbreitstein fortress and the lively city center can be reached via the panoramic stretch along the Mosel in about 45 minutes (via highway about 30 min.) by car or the train from Treis-Karden. You can reach Germany's oldest city in Trier in about 1 hour. Forst (Eifel) is located between Koblenz, Cochem, the Nürburgring and Daun in the Vordereifel. Forst has about 400 inhabitants and is the center of the so-called "Forster parish", a former parish and judicial district. The sauna heater requires a maximum of 18 kWh per hour (depending on the desired temperature and duration of use). This means a maximum of about 6 € in electricity costs per hour of operation. Guest access You have the entire place and garden for your own use Other things to note Sauna use: 60 kWh of electricity consumption (= approx. 5 hours of operation) are included per commenced booking week.
