Riverside Stable Conversion - Alpaca Farm

An idyllic riverside retreat - Riverbank Stable is a cosy converted stable located in Rocester, on the border of the beautiful Staffordshire and Derbyshire countryside. Nestled on the river’s edge and set within the grounds of an alpaca breeding farm this unique property offers a haven of peace and tranquillity. Perfect location for easy access to Alton Towers, JCB golf and visitor centre, Uttoxeter Races, Peak District and the charming market towns of Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell. The space This charming property offers the perfect escape for couples or small families featuring a king-sized bed and a convenient small pull-out sofa bed (only really suitable for 1-2 young children). We have recently extended to add a separate room for an open plan lounge, dining and kitchenette area. The kitchenette consists of a microwave, two ring hob, sink, toaster and of course tea/coffee making facilities. Please note there is not a standard oven available. There is an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink vanity & toilet. The lounge area has a smart TV and WIFI Outside there is a covered veranda area where you can sit and have your morning coffee whilst enjoying the peace and quiet as you watch the alpacas grazing in their fields. Imagine waking up to the gentle murmur of the River Dove outside your window before stepping out to enjoy the peaceful sound of flowing water, the song of birds, the cluck of free roaming chickens and the lush greenery that surrounds you. Please note that we do not charge for cleaning so kindly asks that guests leave the place reasonably clean and tidy. Guest access Guests have access to their private accommodation and a shared parking area. Alpaca farm - guests are welcome to observe our adorable alpacas from a designated viewing area. For the safety and well-being of guests and the animals, access to the paddocks is restricted unless by invitation from the host . We do offer various alpaca experiences so if you'd like a closer encounter with our gorgeous animals book online at (Riverbank Alpacas) to secure your place in advance, especially during the busy summer months. You can of course enquire on availability during your visit but we would recommend that you book in advance if possible to avoid disappointment. P.S. April to August is birthing season! These months are popular for seeing adorable baby alpacas taking their first steps. So far this year we have had 7 babies with another one still to arrive! Other things to note Local attractions - Alton Towers, a wonderland of rides and attractions, is just a 5-mile drive away! - Set in beautiful, landscaped grounds that are freely open to the public, JCB World Headquarters offer a unique factory tour and museum celebrating their iconic diggers. There’s also the prestigious golf course and country club – all less than a mile away so easy walking distance. - The nearby town of Uttoxeter (just 2 miles away) provides supermarkets and access to the renowned Uttoxeter Races. - Explore the breath-taking Peak District National Park, known for its walking trails and scenic beauty. - Seeking breath-taking scenery and a haven for wildlife? Look no further than Dimmingsdale, less than 5 miles away. - Discover the charming market towns of Ashbourne, Buxton, and Bakewell, all within easy reach. Immerse yourself in the rich history and local culture of these delightful destinations. - At the local village you’ll find a traditional pub, convenient stores, fish ‘n’ chip shop, café and Indian restaurant. The surrounding villages also boast a delightful selection of restaurants and the local award winning Denstone Farm Shop is a great place to sample some of the best local produce.
