Description
Relax in cosy 2 bedroom cottage at the top of the Winterborne valley. Explore Hardys’ country straight from the door onto miles of bridleways and footpaths with far reaching views. Well equipped with books and games, a log burner, and an out door bbq there is something to do whatever the weather. An enclosed private rear garden for sunny days with use of a shared, adjacent pool upon request. The perfect bolt hole to explore Dorset from, with the famous Jurassic coast only 45 minutes away. The space The cottage is part Cobb and over 300 years old. It used to be a toll on the edge of the the Portman estate. On the ground floor you enter straight into the kitchen with coat hanging, a utility area and downstairs loo to the right. Walking on through into the sitting room you have seating and a TV around the fire, a good size dining table for four and direct access into the garden. Upstairs the twin room and the bathroom look south over the garden and the double bedroom looks north to open farmland. The garden is enclosed with a paving area, outdoor table and chairs and a barbecue for sunny days. Original art from the studio next door hang on the walls, and there is a bookshelf and games to while away some time. We have a Nespresso coffee machine with complementary pods. Guest access You have exclusive use of the whole cottage, its private garden and your allocated two car parking spaces on the front drive. The pool is accessed through a gate at the bottom of the garden and is a short walk across our lawn to the summer house and pool. Other things to note The shared pool is outdoors and in our garden next door; access is through the gate at the bottom of the cottage garden and across the lawn. We just ask you let us know when you would like to swim so we can shut away the animals for you. It is heated to take the chill off but temperature does vary across the season. It is open from May 15th to September 15th unless the summer extends!
