Description
Welcome to our home on Lake Blackshear! We are located in a cove at the northern tip of the lake, surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. There is 1 queen bed, one queen sleeper sofa, and 1 futon (suitable for 1-2 small kids). It is DUCK/DEER HUNTING SEASON, so please be aware you may hear gunshots on weekend mornings. The space Late check ins and bookings are welcomed! If you send me a late/same-day inquiry and I don't respond, please go ahead and book! **There is a $20 pet fee per stay** I want to continue to allow pets at our Air BnB! That means each guest has to be responsible for their pet. If you are traveling with a pet, they are not allowed to sleep in the bed or on any couches. If you have doubts about them staying off the furniture, please crate them when you are not here. A $150 excessive pet hair cleaning fee will be imposed if pets are found to have slept in the bed or on furniture. This is a mother-in-law suite so there is no full kitchen but there are restaurants around to enjoy and Uber Eats delivers! Guests are more than welcome to use the boat ramp which is perfect for any size boat, kayaks, canoes, or jet skis. This property does have stairs down to the main entrance of the suite. Dogs are on premises but are friendly and will be kept out of guests' way. Guests are permitted to park in the carport. Guest access Guests will be given keys to the suite upon arrival or in a designated area to retrieve keys. Other things to note Swimming is NOT allowed in the cove. This is Lake Blackshear and there ARE alligators and stumps in this lake, especially in our cove. Due to liability, we cannot allow swimming. Fishing is allowed though, and we encourage you to enjoy the cove and its abundance of fish! We catch bass here regularly. This is a lake. Saltwater boats and this cove usually don’t get along, so please make sure your boat is on speaking terms with freshwater before launching. Pontoon boats, bass boats, and jon boats do well here. Because we are in a cove, bugs are present. We do our best to minimize them but be sure to turn lights off if leaving at night to reduce the attraction to windows/doors near entrance. Please do not enter restricted areas (they are marked) as well as please do not enter the boat house, main house or screened porch (this is under renovation as well as other areas for guests to enjoy later). Please excuse construction material.
