The Range: Hobby Farm with Spa

Come stay at The Range for an exquisite 22-acre hobby farm and spa experience. The farmhouse is a spacious and cozy cottage for many people. Delight in open-field walks and forested excursions, stunning sunsets, and expansive horizons. Incredible for skiing and snowshoeing. Ski hills are 25 minutes away. Soak up the countryside views, enjoy farm-table dinners, fire pit and hot tub/sauna in the beautiful solarium. A fully loaded TV, a jangly piano and quiet, dollhouse bedrooms await. Welcome! The space The farmhouse has 5 bedrooms— 4 with queen size beds, and one with mattress/cushion options. It can easily sleep 10 people—or more—given the two large L-shaped sectional couches. There is a large, cool living room with smart TV and adjacent piano, retro 80s kitchen with counter and stools, dining room with table for 12, and a huge solarium with hot tub and sauna. Bathrooms include one deep tub, one shower and three toilets. The property itself is a large expanse (22 acres) with extensive fields for walks (we have 2 pairs of snowshoes for winter walking in the deep snow), fire pit in field, a vegetable garden and a back yard with deck, picnic table, lounge chairs and BBQ. Across the road is an apple orchard and acres of fern covered forest to explore. You will be under 20 minutes from McKenzie Beach, only 25 minutes from Lac Brome, close to Magog and to Sherbrooke, Bromont and Mont-Orford, as well as national parks (15 min to Orford, 30 min to Yamaska) and villages Racine and Knowlton. The renowned Estriade bike path network is accessible from nearby Waterloo, and there are numerous trails closer to the house. The famous Bombarier factory is located in Valcourt, and its Ingenuity Museum is an exciting and historical adventure. You will be 5 minutes from amenities: the IGA supermarket and wine store (open 8am to 8pm), several drugstores, wonderful local bakeries and a great farmer's market on weekends. Visit local pub restaurants for local fare! Guest access The house is open for use. The basement and garage are off limits. Other things to note The dishwasher is not for use. Vegetable garden will be tended to periodically. All windows must be closed when leaving. In winter, upon closing, heat must be set back at 10 degrees celsius.
