Designed by Land and Shore Creative (LSC), a NY-based design-build firm, this cozy retreat sits in the quiet hamlet of Smallwood, surrounded by woods and steps from Mountain Lake. It features sauna, hot tub, cold plunge, geodesic dome and wood fired pizza oven. Across from a charming waterfall and forest reserve, and just a 10-minute drive to nearby lakes. Callicoon and Narrowsburg are 25 minutes away with great shops and restaurants. The space Welcome to Bambi House — a thoughtfully renovated design cabin in the Catskills. Nestled in the peaceful woods of Smallwood, just steps from Mountain Lake, the property combines nature and architecture in perfect harmony. Enjoy a full spa-like experience with year around hot tub, cold plunge, sauna as well as outdoor shower (shower only available May–October), a geodesic dome (also available May - October) and a commercial wood-fired pizza oven. The cabin is surrounded by forest and water — within minutes’ drive from White Lake, Superior Lake, and Toronto Reservoir, and a short stroll to Mountain Lake itself. Picturesque towns like Callicoon, Narrowsburg, and Livingston Manor are just a short drive away, offering farmers’ markets, shops, and restaurants. Perfect for couples, families, or friends seeking a calm and inspiring escape, Bambi House invites you to slow down, connect, and unwind in design-led comfort. The cabin features: OPEN SPACE - Modern interior with open vaulted ceiling, living room with Malm mid century open fireplace, dining seating area, Sonos sound system, projector, large windows with beautiful views of the wood, fully equipped custom designed cook's kitchen, with Japanese knives, high end modern appliances (dishwashing machine, fridge, wash and drier), Stokke high chair, central heat and air conditioning, high speed internet. MASTER BEDROOM: king size bed with organic luxury linen, balcony and backyard access, clothing storage, AC. BEDROOM 2: Queen size bed with organic luxury linen, backyard access, clothing storage, AC. BEDROOM 3: Queen size bed with organic luxury linen, mezzanine, clothing storage, pack and crib. For bigger parties we can add a single mattress to this room and we also have a pack and play available, AC. GEODESIC DOME ( ROOM 4): we have a beautiful geodesic dome in the garden that features a king size bed, couch, clothes hangers and wood stove and where we can add a kids bed upon request. It is available for rent May through October for an additional $100 per night. FULL BATHROOM: custom made shower, bathtub and sink, Japanese toilet, heated floors, AESOP shower gel, shampoo / conditioner, hair dryer. Upon request we can provide infant bathtub and bath toys. HALF BATHROOM: sink and toilet. PARKING: Gravel driveway with plenty of room for your party to park. OUTDOOR SPACE/BACKYARD: geodesic dome, cedar barrel soaking cold plunge, 7 people hot tub with jets and cedar 4 persons sauna, outdoor shower, fire pit, picnic tables, barbecue, balcony with chairs, table and sun lounges and beautiful forest view. Guest access Guests have access to the full property Other things to note We occasionally stay at the property when is not occupied by guests, so you might find some personal stuff around the house and food in the freezer.
