Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located on Whitcomb Bayou near historic downtown Tarpon Springs. Enjoy outdoor entertaining on an enormous patio covered in palms, fountains and a raised herb garden available for guests. The studio apartment is newly renovated and cozy. It has a kitchenette and a large parking area. It is detached from the main house. The patio is fenced and safe for small dogs to run and play. I also have beach bikes and a two-man kayak available for use. The space The studio is very comfortable with high thread count sheets and nice linens. It is a very clean unit and will remain so as your stay should be as welcoming as possible. The patio area is the highlight of the property because it's waterfront and filled with blooming plumeria trees plus my herb garden. It's a great place to enjoy morning coffee or tea or a sunset glass of wine. It's fully fenced and safe for small dogs to run and play. This is on Whitcomb Bayou which is where the annual Epiphany celebration occurs annually in early January. Thousands gather to watch the young men dive into frigid waters in hopes of finding the Epiphany cross which is said to provide a year of good luck. Nearby are the historic Tarpon Springs sponge docks which is a worldwide tourist location. The sponge docs have dozens of Greek restaurants and specialty shops. Festivals are held there several times a year. Also nearby is historic downtown Tarpon Springs which also has many restaurants and antique and specialty shops. Recently, the area also has four breweries. The Jolly Trolly is a local trolly transportation system that runs hourly throughout Pinellas County. Many take the Trolly from one town to another to experience shopping, restaurants, festivals and breweries.
