The Great Hall, Edwinstowe Hall

This beautiful property is The Great Hall of Edwinstowe Hall, constructed in 1701 for the First Earl of Scarborough. The property a stone’s throw from Sherwood Forest and neighbours Saint Mary's Church, where legend has it Robin Hood and Maid Marion were married. The Hall itself sits in on the heart of the village and has many pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. it is stunningly decorated and furnished to a modern standard having recently been renovated. The space The Great Hall is a large open plan space, perfect for large family gatherings. The main hall is made up of a kitchen and dining area, a large dining table which seats 14 and a living room. There is also a separate games area which includes a foosball table, TV and xbox. There is even a space for a dance! Off of the main hall you will find bedroom 1 which has a super king bed and large antique oak wardrobe. Bedroom 2, also off the main hall is another a super king bedroom. It is furnished with modern rattan furniture. Bedroom 3 is situated at the bottom of the main hall and is right next to the master bathroom. This is a generous room which homes 2 single beds. Bedroom 4 is opposite bedroom 3. It has a king size bed and features an antique wooden vanity table. Bedroom 5 is up sereval steps onto the old 'stage area'. From this double bedroom you have a clear view of St Mary's chruch. Bedroom 6 is up the stairs (Not reccommended for children or elderly guests) This is a large double bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom. The final bedroom is room 7 which is also upstairs and consists of a small double. This room is ideal for 1 person but can sleep 2. The Great Hall has 3 bathrooms: The main bathroom is straight off the main hall and consists of both a shower and a roll top bath. The second shower room is convieniently situated off the entrance hall. The 3rd bathroom is off bedroom six upstairs. The Great Hall has a small outdoor courtyard which looks out onto St Mary's Church. This is a secure area for children and pets. A BBQ can be provided on request. There is a small outdoor dining area. The Great Hall offers 5 parking spaces. More parking can be arrange with prior discussion. Please note, the Great Hall has a sister property, The South Wing, which is right next door. Booking both properties together is ideal for larger gatherings such as people attending a wedding nearby. Together the properties sleep 24 people in 12 bedrooms. When both properties are booked, guests of The Great Hall have access to the garden of The South Wing and have access to 9 parking spaces. Guest access Guests have access to all rooms at The Great Hall when booked. Hosts usually meet guests to settle them and again at the end of the stay. Other things to note Please note we no longer welcome hen or stag parties.
