You can bike, car or walk to the town of Salt Springs which is in the middle of the Ocala National Forest. There is also the Salt Springs marina to drop boat in to get to Lake George and the Silver Glenn Springs recreational area on lake George, or 15 minute drive there by car. The spring flows 52 million gallons per day and is a constant 72 degrees year round. The water is beautifully clear and the bottom is white sand. If you don’t have a boat, you may rent one at Salt Springs Marina, or just swim the springs at Salt Springs Recreation Area, just 2 miles from the cabin! You may also choose to never leave the cabin with beautiful Lake Kerr steps away from the cabin doors. Enjoy long afternoons and evenings on the expansive patio with fire pit in the front yard overlooking the lake. Commune with nature as nightly deer, owls, otters and other wildlife are there.
