The space The Space Step into a one-of-a-kind tiny house with a charming railway carriage theme. Designed for comfort and simplicity, Sanctuary Train provides everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Living & Sleeping: Sink into the comfortable queen-size bed, complete with plush pillows and soft linens. Gaze at the night sky through the special stargazing window above the bed, or use the blackout blinds for an uninterrupted sleep. The lounge area is perfect for curling up with a book or enjoying a board game. Kitchen: Your fully-equipped kitchen is ready for you to cook up a delicious meal. It features an oven, induction cooktop, bar fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, and an espresso machine with a hand grinder for your morning coffee. Bathroom: The private bathroom includes a relaxing rain-head shower, toilet, and sink. We provide eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand wash for your convenience. Outdoor Deck: Step outside onto your private deck. Enjoy meals al fresco at the outdoor table or fire up the BBQ while soaking in the serene farm surroundings. Dedicated Working Space: Fast wifi and a dedicated working space are available beneath the picture window. For your comfort, the space is equipped with a reverse cycle air conditioner to keep you cool or warm as needed. Guest Access Your stay includes full access to the Sanctuary Train tiny home and its private deck. You are also welcome to explore the expansive 68-hectare property, including 40 hectares of forest and 28 hectares of farmland. A key feature of your stay is access to our private jetty on the Frankland River/Kwakoorillup, perfect for launching a kayak or simply relaxing by the water. The jetty is a short 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from your accommodation. The Neighbourhood Located in Nornalup, you are perfectly positioned to explore the region's famous attractions. Nearby highlights include: The Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk Conspicuous Cliffs Beach Peaceful Bay Walpole-Nornalup National Park Greens Pool and Elephant Rocks When you're ready for a meal out, you'll find a variety of local options, such as The Marron Tale, Peaceful Bay Fish and Chips, Phillipine Magic Café, the Good Food Factory, The Dam and Pepper and Salt Restaurant. Getting Around Sanctuary Train is an ideal base for outdoor adventurers. You'll have easy access to world-class trails, including: The Bibbulmun Track (walking) The Munda Biddi Trail (cycling) The Denmark to Nornalup Rail Trail We can also provide information on local trail transfers and other services for walkers, cyclists, and paddlers. Important Information Shared Property: Please be aware that Sanctuary Train is located on a working farm. There is another short term accommodation on the property, Nornalup Homestead, located about 250 metres away with a separate driveway. You may occasionally see other guests exploring the farm. Shared Jetty: The private jetty on the river is shared with guests of Nornalup Homestead. If the jetty is in use upon your arrival, the public Canoeing Launching Jetty is less than 50 metres away. Seasonal Jetty Access: Please note that access to the jetty is seasonal. High water levels during winter may submerge it. Working Farm: As a working farm, you may see the farmer or owners on the property completing maintenance or farm work. We will always do our best to inform you ahead of time. What to Bring: We provide all linen, blankets, and towels. Please bring your own beach towels. Rural Setting: Being in nature means you may encounter flies, insects, and other native animals. Guest access Guests are able to access all spaces except the shed, Nornalup Homestead house yard, junkyard and old cottage. Other things to note Sanctuary Train is located on a working farm in a rural setting. We agist our paddocks to a neighbouring farmer. You may see him or his workers on the property at times. We may also be on the property at times, completing farm work, maintenance and collecting firewood. We will always attempt to let you know when we are on the property. There is another accommodation on the property, Nornalup Homestead. Please respect the privacy of these guests by not entering the house yard. There may be flies, insects and other native animals on the property. We have chosen a Moderate Cancellation Policy. All guests are covered by Air BnB’s AirCover insurance, however, we also recommend guests take out COVID and travel insurance to ensure they are covered in all situations.
