Oh! You will never want to leave the Bay House #1. It has all the charm of an old fashion Beach Cottage. It was actually built in 1913 and remodeled to its present crisp state. The property gently slopes to the water ( Fisherman Bay). There are panoramic views in every direction and just wait for the sunsets!!! The house has all you will need for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and so fun to cook in. The property is shared with the Bay House #2 but beautiful plantings and a screen are placed to provide plenty of privacy between the Houses. I live on Lopez during the summer so I am sure we will meet. During the winter I head for the warmth of Mexico, but I am always available on my USA cell phone and I do have contacts on Lopez if you need anything. This is the perfect location! The great local hang-out ( The Galley Restaurant) is just a few houses away. Further down the road is the Islander Resort and Marina. Get a massage, rent bikes or kayaks or just have a cool one on the deck overlooking the Marina and Bay. Another skip and a jump is Lopez Village with groceries, coffee shops, the bakery and much more to explore. Oh --almost forgot. Walk in the other direction and you are on the 1/2 mile long sandy beach. It is best to bring your car, though some hardy few leave their cars in Anacortes and come by bike. There sometimes is a shuttle , but not reliable. You can travel to the other islands for free if you walk on the ferry. Fun for lunch in Friday Harbor, San Juan Island. Just as a note--Lopez Island has retained its rural ambience in many ways. Unfortunately for those of you from more civilized areas this can be frustrating as cell phone and wifi connections can be unreliable. Relax and enjoy!
