Description

Alpaca Cottage stands amid lovely countryside near the Peak District National Park and a seven minute drive from Alton Towers. You’ll be on a farm with alpacas, sheep, free range hens and Oscar the dog – plus goalposts, a play area, ball games field and BBQ! The cottage has TV, Wifi, free parking and EV charging, two cosy bedrooms and a relaxing garden. There’s space for up to 5 guests and it’s one of three cottages accommodating up to 16 – ideal for groups of friends and family gatherings! The space The space Alpaca Cottage is welcoming and cosy with relaxing country-style décor. It lies amid lovely hills in 10 acres of grassland and has free on-site parking. The living space is open plan with 3 comfortable sofas, coffee table, dining table and relaxing lighting. The well-equipped kitchen includes a fridge, oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. In one bedroom is a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe and chest of drawers, in the second bunk beds, a single bed and two chests of drawers. A cot is provided. The bathroom has a shower, basin and WC. Outside is a lovely garden shared with Charlie’s Cottage and Zoe’s Cottage, tables for al fresco dining and plenty of seating where you can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine with a view! Beyond is the playground with swings, climbing frame and safe open spaces to play and relax. Big groups can gather everyone together in the Pavilion, a heated log cabin you can hire for a meal or to watch movies on the big screen – ideal for family celebrations! Each cottage (sleeping 5 or 6) has a fully-equipped kitchen, shower room and outside seating area, providing accommodation for up to 16 guests. The cottages are powered by 100% renewable energy so you can rest assured your holiday has as little impact as possible on the planet. Free WiFi: please note that like all public Wifi this is an unsecured shared service and so unsuitable for streaming or transmitting sensitive data. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the whole house. Free parking on the premises. Outside is a garden shared with the other two cottages and the odd free-ranging hen. The ball field and play area are shared with the adjoining Lower Micklin Touring Park. No pets The cottage is just a 2 minute drive from the postcard village of Alton with its own neo-Gothic castle built by Pugin! You’ll find a variety of popular pubs, restaurants, cafés and takeaways in Alton, Rocester and the pretty villages around. Alton has The Bull’s Head and Bridge House Restaurant, the Tavern in Denstone is 1.6 miles and Rocester offers a wide choice of well-reviewed restaurants, 3.3 miles, 7 minutes’ drive. A great base for walkers with public pathways to villages and the Staffordshire Way and Peak District National Park within easy reach. You’ll be close to Uttoxeter Racecourse, National Trust sites, the award-winning Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café and the world famous Potteries. Alton Towers Resort, Waterpark and gardens ‒ England’s largest theme park with 40 rides and attractions including Oblivion, Smiler, Nemesis, Forbidden Valley, Dark Forest, the new Curse of Alton Manor and CBeebies Land, 7 minutes’ drive away!
