Romantic cottage with stunning Views
Description
Beautiful tranquil country cottage with private garden boasting spectacular views over the Pentland hills . The cottage is well situated for exploring the area, being just 5 minutes drive from Rosslyn chapel, (which you can also walk to from the cottage by following the path through the glen.)The Pentland hills are only 10 minutes drive, and it takes less than 30 minutes to drive to edinburgh city centre. It is a great place to come home to after a day of hillwalking ,working or sight seeing. The space Bright and well proportioned traditional one bedroom cottage with a fantastic conservatory. Every window gives great views of both the beautiful garden and its spectacular outlook over the Pentland hills, Rosslyn chappel and out to the coast beyond Edinburgh. Situated next to a livery yard (horse stables) , you will also have the pleasure of having horses just meters from the conservatory . If you are not sitting in the conservatory taking in the views and enjoying the horses then the lounge has a wonderful wood burning stove to get cozy and relax in front of. (There is also a large comfortable sofa bed in the lounge so if you are two people who would like to sleep separately please let me know and i can provide bedding). There are two workspaces, one in the bedroom and one in the lounge. The one in the bedroom benefits from having a black out blind on the window so that if you are working on a computer you can control the lighting. Because this is also my personal home when i am not travelling, or exploring Scotland, You will also find that the house has that real feeling of a home that is well cared for and well loved. I hope you will enjoy it as much as i do. Guest access The whole house and garden are there for you to enjoy. Other things to note Please note this is a rural environment in Scotland which means it has all the accompanying joys and foibles. I am happy to say there are many bees and other insects in the garden as well as a good variety of birds and other wildlife to spot and as well as the horses going along the lane you will sometimes find the sheep being moved past the house by the farmer. It is also good to note that it can be both wet and muddy, particularly in the winter months . For this reason I ask you to take your shoes off at the door. Because i make this request to all visitors I have provided a few pairs of both Mens and women’s slippers, but if you prefer to bring your own then please do . I will provide bedding and 2 towels for each person. If you would like extra bedding for the sofa bed please let me know in advance. Please note unless you are happy to walk 40 min to the local bus in Roslin you will need your own transport. Uber's do not opperate fin the area and local taxi's are not always reliable. You will however be able to come from Edinburgh city centre to the cottage in an uber which costs around £25 or from Edinburgh airport which cost about £30. Registration Details ML00110F
