The Jabaquara neighborhood itself does not have many leisure options, but it has plenty of tourist spots nearby that are accessible; I will start by talking about the Ipiranga Museum – Subway: The nearest station to the Museum is “Alto do Ipiranga”, on Line 2 (green); From the apartment to there it is 10 km. The building where the exhibitions and spaces for educational and cultural activities are now installed was designed to be a monument in commemoration of the Proclamation of Independence, which took place in 1822. The building was built between 1885 and 1890. In 1895, the newly created State Museum (Paulista Museum) was transferred to the monument. This is how the stories of the oldest public museum in São Paulo and the Monument to Independence have mixed together, and since then it has become known as the Ipiranga Museum. Also right next to Expo, the Brazilian Paralympic Center, located on Rodovia dos Imigrantes, in the southern zone of São Paulo, has an open agenda for guided tours for students and schools. Visits to the Paralympic CT may take place on Tuesdays, at 10am, and on Thursdays at 2:30 pm, with an average duration of 2 hours. The maximum quantity allowed per group is 50 people. The visits allow students to get to know the great structure of the CT, with almost 100,000 square meters of built area, to attend training of Paralympic athletes from the base categories to the high performance, and to learn more about all the Paralympic modalities. We also have the Botanical Garden, for those who like nature, green areas, it is a stunning place to visit, a great option for a walk; And of course, our famous Zoo, act legs and comfortable shoes, huge, huge.
