Our Schwalbenloft is a stylish and sustainably furnished refuge with lots of wood and almost 100 square meters. A large kitchen-living room with a beautiful dining area with a large fridge with freezer, water and ice dispenser awaits you. Children often find their kingdom in the sparrow's nest. The bathroom promises unforgettable evenings. Lovers of wood will definitely get their money's worth here. The furnishings, but also the extravagant walls, convey a special atmosphere. A side staircase on the building leads to the 2nd floor and through the tidy entrance area directly into the large kitchen-living room with a beautiful dining area. The modern kitchen is a dream come true for every amateur chef and equipped with all necessities - we have deliberately avoided only a microwave. Next to it is a Samsung Family Hub - a large refrigerator with freezer, built-in water and ice dispenser and other surprises. Equally surprising in the living room area are the comfortable sofas with the 58-inch Hisense smart TV with height-adjustable foot and a "thick" entertainment package including Netflix, Disney+, RTL+ and much more. The large living room table invites you to drink wine or play board games in the evening - there is definitely room for the largest puzzles. Next door is the large bedroom with a work corner and a feel-good bed to snuggle in. In the sparrow's nest above, the children usually have their home, but the beds are also comfortable and large enough for average adults. Only the wooden stairs to the nest require a certain mobility and also the slopes make the nest more of an emergency shelter for adults. The height-adjustable desk offers plenty of space to work or plan day trips by bike or to Potsdam and Berlin. Directly from there is the wellness bath, with sauna and double bathtub with jacuzzi. The heated towel rail warms the provided towels if necessary. In addition to the toilet, a bidet is also available. After an extensive sauna session, you can jump directly into the mirrored shower to cool off. The hot tub makes evenings for two as unforgettable as children playing extensively in an almost boundless bathtub. Baby cot and high chair can be provided if needed. Our house contains three apartments that are separated from each other. In the basement there is a large laundry room with a washing machine, a dryer and plenty of space to hang laundry. This is available to all guests if needed. For each apartment, there is a free parking space right in front of the house. You have an excellent infrastructure right in the village to take care of yourself completely. In about 50 meters there is a Netto supermarket and about 150 meters away on foot is an excellent REWE market, which is open from Monday to Saturday from 7 AM to 10 PM. So if you're missing something for meals - no problem. Across the street is a pharmacy and next to it a physical therapy. There are various restaurants nearby where we can give you recommendations as our guests, which you should visit depending on your taste and budget. The town of Geltow as part of the municipality of Schwielowsee, where the house and your apartment are located, is over 1000 years old and consists of an incredible amount of history, which is also directly linked to Potsdam and Berlin. So you can explore the Einstein Museum, the cable ferry between Geltow and Caputh, the Handweberei Museum, the Caputh Castle, the Petzower Church with the Haussee and many other sights nearby and further afield. Upon arrival, you will receive a guest folder with many interesting excursion destinations both in the immediate vicinity and in Potsdam or Berlin, as well as the fastest ways to get there. Depending on whether you prefer to be in the city or in nature. It is the combination of both that makes our location so attractive. Your apartment is an ideal location for cycling tours; 300 m away is the European cycle path R1. As is often the case in the Havelland, you can walk in the footsteps of Fontane and Einstein on various bike tours around the many Havel lakes. The bike path leads mostly directly along the shore of the lake, but also makes small detours into the surrounding area. Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented for a fee if they are not currently in use by other guests. Therefore, you are welcome to reserve them in advance with the hosts. Around us is plenty of water and forest with great cycling and hiking trails in the middle of nature. Various boat rentals in the area also allow great hours or even whole days on the water. By bike you are at the water and on the beach directly at Lake Petzinsee or Lake Schwielowsee in no more than three minutes. Our home is also a perfect base for trips to Potsdam or Berlin. Within 15 minutes you are by car or bus in the center of Potsdam and can enjoy the many sights. You can reach Sanssouci Park and Palace almost as quickly by bike. The bus stops are only about 100 m away and so you can also travel to Werder/Havel or Potsdam in both directions. You are at the train station after about 15 minutes and in another 30 minutes in the middle of Berlin at the Zoological Garden with the Kudamm and the Memorial Church or at Berlin Central Station. And after a day of shopping at KaDeWe or sightseeing in Berlin, you can come back just as quickly and enjoy the tranquility surrounded by the forests and lakes of the Havelland just outside the city. One point we would like to point out at the end: in about 100 m as the crow flies, behind other gardens, there is a small transformer station that can be heard with a slight hum in very quiet moments. This does not disturb any of the surrounding houses when sleeping or relaxing in the garden and has not prevented our guests from having a relaxing stay. Guest access Our house contains three apartments that are separated from each other. In front of the house is a shared parking space - each apartment has a parking space. In the basement there is a large laundry room with a washing machine, a dryer and plenty of space to hang laundry. This is available to all guests on request. On the side of the house is the staircase to our swallow loft on the upper floor. Bicycles and e-bikes can be safely parked on the property if you want to bring your own bikes.
