The space DarLyn’s Retreat is at the intersection of Hwy 106 and Route E in Shannon County, MO near the town of Eminence. It's a 20-acre property with 3 BR, 2 BA, 2 LR, kitchen and kitchenette with a deck and patio overlooking a large back yard. We can accomodate up to 2 dogs. The front yard is fenced for children and dogs. All services to the house have been updated. We have STARLINK (very!) high-speed internet services so you can stay connected to the world. There are 2 large HDTV’s with streaming services available when you're not enjoying the outdoors. Main BR - upstairs with king bed BR2 - downstairs with queen bed BR3 - downstairs with 2 twin beds Bed 4 - downstairs in LR with pop-up couch to make a full bed Bed 5 - An additional high-quality blow-up queen (internal electric pump) is also available for the LR upstairs. Kitchen - upstairs is renovated with new appliances for full meal preparations. Attached dining room with seating for 8. We are undergoing significant exterior renovations! As of 5-21-2026, we have added a new patio, back deck, front porch and landscaping. Weather permitting, the house will be painted in early June to a sage green and bronze roof with natural wood shutters to be added. Kitchenette - downstairs with a sink, full-size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker and microwave. Bathrooms: Upstairs features a tub/shower and downstairs provides a shower. Deck - just off the upstairs kitchen, it has a large gas grill, picnic table and additional seating. Patio - from the basement door, the patio provides additional seating and access to the backyard for campfires. The back yard has a campfire area for relaxing while you enjoy the Ozark sky at sunset! 🔥 PLEASE - NO fires at all during dry conditions. Water is available from the well head on the north side of the house. A hose is located on the patio and a shovel and hoe are available inside the basement door. Plastic chairs from the patio may be used for the campfire area. 🔥 PLEASE enjoy but use great care, be proactive for fire management and cool it to the touch before leaving it. Firewood is nearby the oak tree, when available. Do not burn cardboard, paper or leaves. Cover the fire pit when cool. See photos. 🔥 (Personal note: we have seen/experienced small fires spread at extraordinary speeds in dry conditions and light winds!!!) Garage: The garage is closed off for storage. We hope you enjoy your stay at DarLyn’s Retreat. PLEASE take care of our home! We love it here and hope you do too! Guest access The main level to this house is not wheelchair accessible. Stairs are used for entry to all doors on the main level and access down to or up from the basement. The basement is partially accessible by wheelchair. Most spaces are available but kitchenette is limited. The front door and basement doors both have YALE digital deadbolts for locking the house. When the house is going to be vacant, lock BOTH doors. On leaving any time, DO NOT lock the keyed door knob locks. You could be locked out of the house. If this happens by accident, message or call us through the AirBnB app.. Other things to note The area: DarLyn’s Retreat is located adjacent to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways State Park. It is just 2 miles from Alley Spring, a beautiful natural spring with old mill, walking trails, shelter house. Many natural springs, waterfalls, caves, trails are in the area, as well as a herd of wild horses! There are several river outfitters nearby that rent canoes/kayaks/rafts, provide transportation to and from the river access--Harvey's, Windy's or Two Rivers will pick up and drop off from the house. Eminence is a charming town with shops, diners, grocery store, gas stations and health clinic.
