Cozy Cabin in the woods
Cozy cabin in the woods in scenic Garfield with WiFi, AC
Description
Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. The space This tiny home is outfitted with a lot of amenities to make it a perfect getaway from your busy & noisy daily life! Time slows down out here & it’s perfect for a reset. This is a TINY home, if you’re not comfortable in small spaces, this isn’t the one for you, respectfully. We have THREE tiny home cabins in a row. They are far apart enough to make them private, especially when trees and bushes are in bloom. We just purchased these properties in July 2024 & we have a lot of work ahead of us, especially with the brush. Please be patient with us as we work through that to conserve what we can for wildlife & get rid of what isn't beneficial. We are learning as we go. Guest access There is a walking trail loop at the end of the property with a bench for taking in all the beauty around at the top of the incline. Many pups give 5 paws for the nice walk that it provides! There is a bench swing & a child's swing provided as well as a separate deck with a gas fire pit & seating to enjoy. Oh & cows to watch in the field to the north. The calves are especially entertaining! They don't belong to us, so just enjoy watching them, please don't try to pet or feed them. Other things to note We are on a DIRT road, please drive slowly as there are animals (& sometimes children) everywhere out here! This is the Ozark Mountain area & we are close to Beaver Lake, there are BUGS. We spray, we have traps, we do walk-throughs right before check-ins, we do ALL the things to encourage them to stay outside but there are bug renegades, that despite our best efforts, end up inside. It can be "nature noisy" with the roosters especially, but it's a nice break from "city noisy". We have one dog, his name is Radar. We just rescued him from a shelter (July 2025) & are working to acclimate him to our family. He is pretty small, a whippet mix & so sweet. Radar has an E-collar as we are working with him on recall. We are very aware when guests bring their fur babies & are mindful to keep an extra eye on him. There are some really big (tan) neighbor dogs (Great Pyrenees mix) that will sometimes sneak down the back way behind the walking trail, they will bark at you but they are gentle giants, you can just yell “shoo” & “go home” & they do. If they give you any problems (they never have!) just reach out & I’ll take care of getting them to go home.
