The space Hygge House on George is a private 2 bedroom walk-up apartment that is within walking distance of York Hospital, York college, as well as other prominent York landmarks. It is housed within a 120 year old multi-family apartment building full of the rich history of Old York Pennsylvania. Guest access The apartment is on the second floor of the building. There is also a third floor with additional rooms that guests do not have access to. This area is unused and locked-off from guests for renovations. Other things to note Accessibility Limitations- There are several steps to get to the entrance of the building and then a full set of stairs to get to the second floor apartment. Guests with physical limitations may not be well-suited to this space. This property is not suitable for kids under 12. The main stairwell is centrally located in the unit and due to the design of the railing, it’s not possible to reliably secure a gate for safety. Parents should also note that in this building (and any building constructed in or before 1970), there is a risk of coming into contact with lead paint. Of course all walls have been recently painted with modern latex paint, but bumps and scrapes to the trim can result in chipping paint so it’s important to us that folks be aware.
