Secluded jungle bungalow with private garden, yoga deck, bathroom and much more. 800 meters from the best beach in the area! The space I have created these eco bungalows in a way that combines the experience of being completely immersed in nature, all while having the amenities needed for a comfortable stay at the same time. You will wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and toucans and fall asleep to the cacophony of frogs while being surrounded by tropical lushness. The bungalow comes with a private bathroom and a hot shower, full cooking facilities in an open-air kitchen, a queen-sized bed in a closed-off room with a good fan, dehumidifier, Apple TV with Netflix, a queen-sized daybed upstairs with a mosquito net, two hammocks, an elevated yoga deck and a private garden with barbeque, all located in a secluded slice of Costa Rican paradise. The bungalow is located on a dead-end street and the only other people you might meet on the road are the other people living in the other bungalows. There are very few neighbors in the area, but they are not visible and barely audible. Solo female travelers can feel completely safe staying in this area. Although it won’t be necessary, the door to the bedroom can be locked for extra security. You are a 10 minute from the best beach in the area, and 2.5 km (1.5 mi) from the irie vibes of Puerto Viejo town center. So if you want to stay at a place that offers privacy away from crowds and is surrounded by nature, but still within walking distance to the best beach and many amazing restaurant options, this is your place. If you want to explore the natural beauty of the region, I offer ATV tours driving through jungle and rivers leading to the beautiful cascades of Bribri. An ATV is also available to rent to make your stay more convenient. Guest access The space is secluded in a wild and natural area without a paved road. There is a steep incline and descent onto the property, which can be challenging for some people. Otherwise, it’s flat most of the way, except for the last 300 meters leading to the space. By foot, it will take you around 15 minutes to reach the bungalow from the main road, and 10 minutes to get down. You can make the commute shorter and cycle most of the way, except for the last steep part which is accessible only by foot, car or ATV. We fumigate regularly to repel insects, but please bear in mind that the bungalow is situated in the jungle and that bugs come with the territory. Raccoons are also known to stop by, but by keeping your kitchen clean and trash can closed they will quickly get bored and go somewhere else. There is also a resident tail-less black cat who enjoys cuddles and will purr for treats. She has a limp because she broke her leg a few years ago, but got a surgery and is since then is pain free and living her best life as Reina de la Montaña. We offer a unique and authentic experience of being immersed in lush nature, but with all the amenities you need to stay comfortable during your stay. Ascending a short hill and the endemic wildlife is part of that experience. ~Good vibes only~ Other things to note The space is secluded in a wild and nature area without a paved road.
