Description
Relax and unwind at our "Little Sebago Teahouse" lakeside retreat designed by the owner in the style of a traditional Japanese teahouse, set on a private half acre wooded point. Lake views from every room, a sand beach framed by pine trees, sand-bottom swimming area with a dock and raft to enjoy, and your own sandbar for water play or sand castles on beautiful Little Sebago Lake - over 400 feet of shoreline in all. There's also an outdoor ping pong table and a sunny clearing for croquet, badminton, horseshoes, and other games. Inside you'll find books and board games for indoor fun, as well as authentic Japanese paintings, screens, and other decorative items. . A history of the "Teahouse" and many more photos of the lake and home can be found on our website LittleSebagoTeahouse.com. The main level features a high ceilinged, timbered open space with living and dining areas, fireplace, a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry area, a large screened porch with gas grill, and wrap-round deck and patio with views of beautiful Litle Sebago lake from every direction. Upstairs, shojii screens set off the master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, and European-style bathroom. A window in the tiled shower and the private balcony overlook a pine grove. The guest bedroom sits on the first floor, a tatami-floored space with its own private entrance, and sleeps two adults or two children. It is set off from its adjoining bathroom (also with shower) by more sliding screens. A sleeping loft with two futons and its own circular staircase that looks down over the living room is perfect for kids. Our family has been coming here every summer since 1904 - we'd love to have you visit and learn for yourself just how special it is!
