Our spacious villa in Nasu is a peaceful retreat for family and friends. Lovingly renovated by our family, ARAIYA is a place to relax, enjoy BBQs and bonfires, and reconnect with nature. Nasu has been special to me since childhood. My husband and I brought this once-vacant home and garden back to life with the help of many people. No Smoking Indoors Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property. 2. Wooden Deck Please use the designated sandals when using the wooden deck. 3. Insects & Outdoor Safety As ARAIYA is surrounded by nature, there are many insects, especially during the summer. In the early morning and evening, small biting insects called black flies (buyo) may be present. Their bites can cause itching and blisters, sometimes appearing a day or two later, and symptoms may last for more than a week. We strongly recommend using insect repellent and wearing long sleeves and long pants when spending time outdoors. During the daytime in summer, horseflies (abu) may also be present. Please avoid leaving screen doors open. 4. Furniture & Room Layout If you move any furniture or change the layout of the living room or bedrooms, please return everything to its original position before check-out. 5. Accommodation Tax Starting October 1, 2026, Nasu Town will introduce an accommodation tax. The revenue from this tax will be used to support tourism development and enhance Nasu as a travel destination.
