The space The cottage is a historic building that was formerly the stables of the local inn. Situated just on the other side of the castle walls, you will not find a more secluded, cosy place to stay that's so close to the high street, right next to the famous Market Cross or 'butter market' building. The cottage consists of two bedrooms that would suit up to two people per room. Although the cottage is cosy and best suited to four, there is an additional sofa bed option in the living room should you need to squeeze one or two more in for a nominal charge. Please contact for more information. Guest access Access is via a private and secluded ginnel (alleyway) opposite the Market Cross building. This ensures a peaceful stay that's secluded but centrally located. There is 2 hours of free parking directly outside the initial high-street entrance, perfect for unloading. Once unloaded, there’s long-term parking available across the road for £1.50 per day. Other things to note Things to do and see: Barnard Castle! Start by exploring the town itself.
