If you plan to leave your pet, please bring a crate for them while unattended. 🌿 Good to Know We want you to fully enjoy your time here, so here are a few helpful notes: 🌊 Lake + Beach You’re welcome to enjoy Lake Huron for swimming, fishing, or relaxing by the water. Life jackets are recommended, especially for children. There is a small sandy beach area, but the lake bottom can be rocky in spots—water shoes are a great idea for added comfort. 🦅 Wildlife This is true Northern Michigan nature, and wildlife is part of the experience. It’s common to see bald eagles, ducks, geese, and deer during your stay. And while we’d love for them to follow house rules… sometimes they leave little “reminders” behind—so just keep an eye out near the beach 🙂 🐞 Bugs (Up North Living) Being surrounded by nature means bugs are part of the Up North experience. Our home and lawn are treated regularly, including areas near the beach, but we can’t guarantee a completely bug-free environment.
