Learn to craft signature cocktails in an exclusive session with host Nischal, one of India’s top bar consultants and mixologist The space We have three cosy bedrooms with essential amenities such as attached bathrooms, Wi-Fi, a room heater for winters (oil radiator) and a 24*7 water supply (both hot and cold). The open kitchen is beautifully designed with essentials like a microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, RO water and washing machine for guests to use as and when required. You may wish to cook on your own. (Please read "Other details to note" section for charges for additional services). The restaurants are all in town which is about 5km away. One can hire small local taxis from our area (except late night) for pick and drop to town. We have one person who does home delivery for most items but takes upto 1 to 2 hrs. We are at an altitude of 1470 metres, higher that the main Kalimpong town, therefore the temperature is much cooler than the rest of Kalimpong in summers. One bedroom on ground floor has twin beds that can be joined into a king size bed. This room is ideal for guests who have issues with knees. They can easily access living, kitchen dining area and large balcony on the same floor. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor with king sized bed. Both have access to a large terrace on the same floor where you can spend your mornings and evenings watching the mountain and valley view. Extra mattresses on the floor can be accommodated for max 2 people (for group of above 6 PAX), one on ground floor and the other in one of the bedrooms on first floor. Therefore we can only accommodate max 8 people. *** Please note that we don't have accomodation for the guests' drivers or staffs. However if you can let us know in advance, we can help you connect with smaller nearby homestays for their accomodation and food. Also, we recommed you to use our trusted drivers as they know our location (we don't take commission from drivers). While there is no dearth of natural allure at the homestay, we recommend coming here for the sunsets more than anything. The sunset views are to die for, all thanks to the sublime mountain range, the third largest in the world. Besides basking in the views, guests can enjoy various activities such as reading sessions on their balcony, meditation amidst scenic views, or capturing birds eating mulberries and other fruits at the homestay. Within the property, one can just sit for hours enjoying the view. Our place is a birdwatcher's paradise where over 30 species, including Mountain Hawk Eagle, Rusty-cheeked Scimitar-babbler, Square-Tailed Drongo Cuckoo, Great Barbet and Blue Throated Barbet, can be found. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, i.e. the living room, kitchen, balcony, terrace, laundry, hammock area, garden, farm and a forest trail that is part of our property. Other things to note Breakfast is complimentary, however for lunch and dinner you need to place the order a day in advance as everything is sourced and prepared fresh (no room service). We are a family run property, we serve simple Nepali thalis and Himalayan cuisine. Please note that we can only prepare one variety per order. You can always try the other option in your next meal.
