Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Set on 47 acres of a working farm, our well-equipped 37' RV accommodates up to 5 guests. Enjoy the outdoors, then relax in a climate-controlled sanctuary. Guests also have access to the pool shared with the 2 rental houses. Wild animals are abundant on the property. Breathe in the fresh air and gaze at the clear night sky; take a walk or drive down the road to visit the cows and our farmer friend, Mr. Brian. You will experience peace & quiet. The space Our 37’ RV provides an exceptional glamping experience. It features a 50-amp electric service, which powers the two-zone air conditioning and heating, kitchen appliances, and lighting. Since the RV is designed for boondocking, it lacks water or sewer connections, resulting in very limited water usage. A total of 50 gallons will be available during your stay, facilitating quick tasks such as toilet use, hand washing, and quick dishwashing. Guests who stay for just one night may have a chance for a brief shower. Gauges display the approximate amount of available water. Also, guests are encouraged to utilize the pool house bathroom, including a shower, during their stay. (Refer to the exterior pictures.) **Disclaimer - The RV is parked next to a pole barn for electricity. There are trees on the other side of the RV, and you are adjacent to the private driveway. You will enjoy plenty of quiet though** KITCHEN - The RV features a kitchen area equipped with a double sink, a small stove/oven, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator with a freezer. There's also a TV complete with a DVD player. Available small appliances include a 3-cup rice cooker, a toaster, a small coffee maker, a griddle, and a skillet. Prepared for use are plates, cups, bowls, utensils, pasta without a strainer, basic seasonings, a dish brush with soap, a can opener, tongs, spatulas, cutting boards, and a grill spatula. BEDS - The sleeping arrangements include a bedroom with a short king bed, two bunks, a pull-down full bed in the living area, and a dining table that converts into a small twin-size bed. Up to four adults can sleep comfortably, with an additional two children. We provide bed sheets, pillows, kitchen dishcloths, toilet paper, towels, and washcloths. Blankets will need to be brought if desired. OUTDOORS - A propane grill, fire pit, chairs, and a table will be available outside for guests. You are welcome to bring your own firewood; however, options are also provided. My daughter has prepared large bundles of firewood for purchase at $10 each. Alternatively, you can pre-order the firewood when you make your reservation. POOL / SWINGSET - As part of your rental, you have access to the heated in-ground pool, which features a slide and a swing set for children. Both amenities are located just a short walk up the road, adjacent to the host's house. The pool is open seasonally from May 15th to September 30th. The pool area includes multiple lounge chairs, umbrellas, sofas, tables, a ping-pong table, cornhole, and a pool house equipped with a shower, toilet, and changing room. Additionally, you'll enjoy scenic mountain views. **Please note that the pool is SHARED with two other rental houses on the property. It has a depth of 6 feet. An adult MUST supervise children at ALL times. Do not swim alone. FRIENDLY FURRY VISITORS - Our two little dogs, Chico & Scarlett, have a doggy door leading outside and might come by to say hello if you're outside. They are both quite friendly. Additionally, there are friendly barn cats on the property that may also stop by. Smudge is the calico cat, Mittens is grey and white, and Casper is all black. I appreciate texts alerting us to any issues. If after 11pm, there may be a delay in getting back to you. No parties or large functions at this time. Either my husband or I will provide a brief tour of the RV when you arrive. This is to familiarize you with the different gauges and instrument panels. Other things to note Our two small dogs have a doggy door from our house and may want to visit with you if you are outside. They are both friendly. Our pet cats live in the barn beside the RV. ONLY the number of guests in the reservation may stay in the RV. Any additional daily visitors need prior approval. ::Places to Visit:: Hillside Farms- Fresh dairy and visit with animals. We have lots of great bike trails and state parks nearby. Frances Slocum State Park has great hiking and biking trails as well as a lake for non-motorized water activities and a playground. It is less than 10 minutes away. Lackawanna State Park is a beautiful state park with hiking, fishing, boating, picnicking and more. It is approximately 35 minutes away. Ricketts Glen State park has great hiking trails, a beach lake and amazing water falls. It is about 50 minutes away, but worth the drive for sure. In the winter there is skiing 25 minutes away at Montage Mountain. There are also many ski resorts in the Poconos within an hour drive away. ::Food:: There are many restaurants in the area, but the independently owned ones are the best. Some of our favorites that we recommend are: Agolino’s, Grico’s, Valenti’s, Kevin’s, Fire & Ice, Rikasa, Bravo Tex Mex, Fuji’s Pittston & Canteen Central. Recommended nearby Italian/pizza places are: Napoli’s, Antonio’s, Demuro’s Pizza, TC Reily’s & Tomasino’s. ::Grocery Stores:: There are many grocery stores within 10-15 minutes away including Fresh Grocer, Weis, Aldi and Walmart.
