Holiday home in Hele Bay, Ilfracombe

Reconnect with loved ones in this family-friendly place a 2 minute walk to beautiful Hele Bay beach (Hele - pronounced like the bit of your foot!), hosts water activities in the summer months and is near a local family friendly welcoming pub. The house, which has always been in our family, was fully renovated in 2021 boast sea views from the front of the property and has a secluded rear patio area. Ilfracombe harbour is approx a 25 minute walk. The space Willesden is a great choice for those wishing to holiday in traditional style with plenty of choice of outdoor activities and family attractions nearby, for example paddle-boarding, kayaking or coasteering on the local beach in the summer months which also has a cafe selling coffee and ice creams, boat trips from Ilfracombe harbour exploring the coastline or try some fishing, visit Damien Hirst’s Verity or the Tunnels beaches. There’s plenty of places for a cream tea, our favourite is just next door, Hele Cornmill or go swimming at Ilfracombe Leisure Centre. Other nearby attractions include Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo, stately homes, craft centres and Exmoor Park with the beautiful Valley of the Rocks, Lynton and Lynmouth and a little further afield trampoline park, soft plays and family attraction parks including The Big Sheep or The Milky Way, or the scenic village of Clovelly. Even Exeter is only an hours train ride away from Barnstaple. Willesden is a modern well equipped home which has been well looked after and has always been in our family through now 3 generations. It comprises of a good size entrance hall with space for shoes and coats. Lounge that comfortably seats 6, smart TV and currently a Disney+ subscription. Kitchen diner with seating for 6 at the table. Tassimo coffee machine (extra pods can be purchased from the garage next door which has a well equipped Spar shop including pastries, pasties and fresh fruit and veg), fan oven, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. First floor Bedroom 1 - King size bed, dressing table, mirror and wardrobe Bedroom 2 - Twin room (2 single beds next to each other) wardrobe, mirror Bedroom 3 - Bunk beds, chest of draws PLEASE NOTE TOP BUNK ONLY SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN We have one stair gate and a travel cot present kept in the large cupboards upstairs- please bring your own bedding for the travel cot. Bathroom - shower over bath, sink and toilet Please note above the patio is a grassed area, this is quite steep so not really suitable for young children or the elderly. Guest access Guests have use of the whole house and garden. The one smaller cupboard in each bedroom is locked. Parking is available on the road outside for no charge, if it is full, which it rarely is, there is a car park opposite which is £2.50 or free after 6pm and on Sundays. You can pay from the house with the Just Park app. Other things to note WiFi is included, the router is in the lounge by the window. Please scan the QR code to connect your device.
