Reaching either town by car takes less than 20 minutes. Each place – Dominical and Uvita – feature restaurants, shopping, banks and grocery stores. Uvita also has a pair of pharmacies. There is also a very popular bar and restaurant on the mountain, Bar Jolly Roger, that serves quality food, cold beer and has live music. Bar Jolly Roger is a 3-minute drive from the villa, or a 10-minute walk. Outdoor activities abound in this area of the country.
