Please come and share our spacious and light-filled home overlooking a beautiful private pond. Your living space is private and has a Queen-size bed with its own bathroom. It is on the second floor and is accessed via stairs. Shared Patio for outdoor dining and relaxation. The property is not suitable for children and infants. Also NO pets please. The space We recently purchased this property and are dreaming of a homestead and organic farm. The property is very private and even though we are close to downtown, feels like living with nature. Every moment is a joy to work in the land / gardens and everyday we can see small but meaningful transformations. Please enjoy the outdoor seating overlooking the pond and the beginnings of our homestead. You can also sit inside and enjoy a good read on the comfortable couch. (FYI - I selected Lake View cause there was no option for Pond View. Please note that it is a pond and not a lake) Guest access Our guests have access to their bedroom through the main entrance to our home. There is a keyless lock on the guest bedroom. Guests are welcome to enjoy the patio and walk the grounds. Please be mindful that the both the garages, the basement and the annex (where we live) are restricted. During your stay We will take the lead from our guests. That said, Yes, we love interacting with our guest family. I’m usually outside working on the homestead. Call or text anytime and I’m responsive (unless working in the gardens without my phone) I also understand that some folks want private time and we are happy to respect that. Other things to note Please note they there is only 1 (one) portable AC unit in the second floor bedroom (since heat rises). If you like your home set at ARCTIC cold temps then this might not be a good fit. That said, we have never needed the AC unit and the existing fans have been sufficient for us. Please note that we do not use curtains so that you can experience the full magic of nature through the massive windows in the room (if you need to sleep in complete darkness then this room and our home would not be a good fit).
