Welcome to L'Oustal! On the heights of Saint-Girons, 10 minutes' walk from the center. A perfect base camp for exploring all the Couserans valleys with your family. Hiking, mountain sports, adventures, gastronomy, heritage (Way of St. James, Cathédrales de Saint-Lizier). Easy access to Cathar country And for those looking for rest, you will enjoy a bright and comfortable house (5 bedrooms), surrounded by a balcony, a large garden and its swimming pool The space You'll have access to both floors of the house: - Second floor: 3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms and an office, (1 king bed, 1 double bed and 1 single bed) a living/dining room, a kitchen, a shower room and 1 WC. - Third floor: 2 bedrooms ( 1 double and 1 twin) We can accommodate from 2 to 9 adults For babies and young children, we have 2 folding cots for babies, all bedding and lots of other baby equipment. Please ask us in advance if we have anything you might need. Fully equipped: fully equipped kitchen, HD TV with Chromecast, wifi. All bedding and towels included, except for the pool. We renovated the property in 2024. The gite is on the top two floors of a three-storey house, with only 7 steps up to the front door. The ground floor of the house is a completely separate apartment where one of our family members lives with her cat. At L'Oustal, you'll find everything you'd expect from a holiday home: - A balcony off the dining room with a magnificent view of the wooded garden, pool and the mountains beyond. Outside - A large, covered, solar-heated swimming pool, with a solar shower and a pool reserved exclusively for our guests. - a barbecue - garden furniture - garden and indoor games - a large covered garage for cycle bikes and motorcycles Up to 4 cars can be parked outside the front door. There are so many things to do in the area that it's hard to list them all here. But we can mention local hikes, particularly around Mont Valier, the Chemin de la Liberté, the GR 10, waterfalls, lakes, Cathar castles, caves. Added to this is a wide range of mountain activities, including paragliding, microlight flights over the Pyrenees, the UNESCO site of the medieval village of St Lizier with its ancient pharmacy, its two cathedrals and the unmissable Saturday morning market in St Girons, where 18 valleys meet. In July, the Tour de France regularly passes through St Girons, not to mention all the winter activities. We're ideally situated for bike and motorcycle tours, and have a covered garage for storing bikes and motorcycles. There are also all the cultural events like Rite, l'Autre fois de Couserans, festivals and gastronomic delights... all within easy reach! And from the house, you can easily go into town or take a walk in the surrounding hills. We look forward to meeting you!
