The House in Silence is a place for both the happy and the travelers or just the tired, where you can relax your mind, listen to yourself and maybe sometimes even afford not to hear yourself, not to think, but simply to see, feel, smell what nature has to offer. Renew your strength to go ahead and realize your big life goals! The space The House in Silence is located near the center of Ligatne (1.4km), easily reachable on foot, while still maintaining a complete sense of privacy and connection with nature. The house has a sauna, a shower room, a toilet and a large living room area combined with the kitchen. On the second floor, a mansard with a double bed, from which you can observe the wonderful view that opens through the panoramic window. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need - induction stove, oven, refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, dishes, pots, glasses and other household items to spend quality and comfortable days here in Ligatne. The property is particularly notable for its beautifully manicured parkland, the existing oak trees will remind you of its historical heritage, and if you are attentive, you will come across a deer or the local hare, which are frequent visitors. What to expect: • privacy, scenic, clean environment; • walks in a private park of 4.86 ha; • sunbathing, swimming in the summer; • autumn mushrooming; • in all seasons - enjoying the sauna and heated pool; • cooking on live fire; • Touring Ligatne and nearby towns by bike; Possibilities: you can take part in great clean-ups in the park and enjoy a delicious meal cooked over a live fire; boating along the Gauja. When your mind has cooled down, in the center of Ligatne, enjoy fantastic meals offered by: • Chef's house in Ligatne, where the excellent chef Eriks Dreibants is the owner (received an awards in 2023/2024/2025 "Michelin" green star); • Restaurant 1815, where Janis Rullis is the soul and magician of the restaurant, excellence and quality; • Enjoy tasteful events in the Creative Quarter ZEIT. Loud, engaging concerts for different tastes both in winter and summer. If the culture is enjoyed, ZEIT is a walk in the trees, which is not only a nice pastime for children; • Ligatne is part of the Gauja National Park with amazingly beautiful natural landscapes: Kuku cliffs, Zvartes rock, the Nature Park, Ligatne basement caves and rock outcrops can be enjoyed. Go on an exploratory walk in the historical Ligatne paper factory village. The sauna and hot tub are available by prior reservation. Other things to note • A service fee is charged for the sauna ( 50 eur) and the heated pool ( 75 eur). If you would like to enjoy them, please let us know in advance, at least 8 hours in advance. • The house is not suitable for loud parties! • There is a pond on the premises, so children must be supervised! • Smoking indoors is not allowed! • Please respect what has been done!
