Hi there! My name is Janice and I bought this charming little 1943 bungalow in west La Mesa a few years ago to use as a primary residences that has now transitioned to a short term rental. This location is close to public transit (bus and trolley), 10 miles from the San Diego Zoo, 15 miles from the beach, and 10 miles from Little Italy, and the Convention Center. The accessible space for guests includes 2 bedrooms, a bath, a living room, kitchen, dishwasher, washer & dryer. The space The house maintains the original mid-century architectural style and feel, including original hardwood floors, but has a modern kitchen and bath. I have had no pets or smoking in this house so should provide a low risk of allergy issues. Wifi speed is over 90 Mbps download and so great for video streaming, and you can enjoy a new 49" smart TV with external speakers. There is also an electric keyboard and guitar for those inclined to play or just tinker! There is a comfortable queen size bed in the master bedroom, an amour with drawers, a suitcase stand, and a closet to hang clothes. The second bedroom has a comfortable twin size mattress, as well as closet space to hang clothes and a shelf unit for folded clothes. The bathroom has recently been remodeled from a dated tub and shower to a mid-century-modern aesthetic with a curbless walk-in shower. I do have a full size collapsible tub in the closet as needed. The fan should be used when taking a shower to prevent the smoke alarm from being triggered. You will find a beach umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels, for your convenience. There is an iron available if needed. The landscape was converted from a traditional lawn and concrete space to a natural setting of mosaic style paths comprised of repurposed concrete that lead you through many fruit trees including an avocado, mango, mulberry and papaya to name a few. There is a lovely outdoor patio with a pergola made from repurposed wood and lined with solar LED lights for you to enjoy the tropical garden of banana, mango and grapes to name a few. Guest access Bringing pets, having extra guest spend the night, and having parties are not allowed and not part of this agreement, there is a penalty of $50 per person/pet per night in place if this house rule is not followed. The house and yard are small and the yard has many short retaining walls made of repurposed concrete that may be temping to climb but are unstable. Please use caution when your child is outside as the retaining walls are sharp and not stable for climbing. This is a small house in a quiet neighborhood consisting of mostly retired people and so is not suited for parties. This listing is for traveling people that need a quiet, comfortable stay with a well stocked kitchen. I have many fruit trees that you are welcome to enjoy if the fruit is ripe and I encourage birds and butterflies for a peaceful environment. Smoking of any kind is also not allowed and not part of this agreement. Other things to note This home accommodates 4 people comfortably. Any guests beyond four will be charged a penalty of $50 per person per night unless I have given explicit approval. I reserve the right to terminate your stay without refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy.
