We’ve designed this inviting, cozy, 550 sq ft suite to be a comfortable sanctuary, blending modern aesthetics with a touch of boho charm. We also have washer toss and ladder ball for daytime fun. The backyard is located off of the main house and is shared with the hosts, who also enjoy the space, and our friendly Shihpoo, Charles, who loves scritches and cuddles! - Adventure Ready: With appropriate transportation and scheduling, kayaks are available for borrowing to explore nearby waters at no charge. - Games and Entertainment: Enjoy a selection of cards and board games available in the unit for cozy nights in. - EV Level 2 CCS charger available for use. Additionally, guests have shared use of the main home's backyard, perfect for relaxing or enjoying outdoor activities. Other things to note - Check-In/Out: We’re laid-back and flexible, happy to accommodate check-in and check-out times whenever possible. You want it, we’ll do our best to make it happen! We aim to have the backyard lounging area ready and enjoyable for the warmer months, specifically the summer. While we do our best to prepare it as early as possible, availability and setup may vary slightly depending on the season and weather conditions. During the colder months, backyard furniture is tarped and secured for the season. Guests are still welcome to enjoy the hot tub, which remains accessible year-round (see notes in house manual about inclement weather closures). House Rules: - No smoking inside the property. - Parking available onsite in a shared, double access driveway. - The hot tub is located in our shared backyard and available for guest use for up to 2 hours daily, as outlined in the house manual. Dog Policy: If you’re bringing a dog, please be aware that the fenced backyard is shared and actively used throughout the day by our friendly dog, Charles, who lives here full-time and spends most of his time outside. If your dog is reactive or uncomfortable around other dogs, this may not be the best fit for your stay. We encourage guests with reactive dogs to consider alternative accommodations where their pet’s needs can be fully met. If your dog is friendly and sociable, they might even make a new friend with Charles during your stay! EV Charging: We offer a Level 2 EV charger (CCS) on-site, shared with the owner. Charging is tracked through a usage app that records the exact amount of electricity used. We simply charge $1 for every $1 in electricity used, based on current Nova Scotia Power rates.
