Bahuaja Amazonian Nature Reserve - true ecotourism
Bahuaja Amazonian Nature Reserve - true ecotourism
Description
The Amazonian Conservation Area Bahuaja is a protected nature reserve covered in lush primary rainforest. Here we offer a unique ecotouristic experience (4D/3N) focussed on allowing you to "disconnect" from your daily life, to "reconnect" deeply with yourself and Mother Nature through guided walks and educational activities (more info below). You'll stay in a single or double hut (with beds and hammocks), mainly made from reclaimed wood, powered by solar panels, surrounded by the jungle. The space The program consists of 4 days and 3 nights. We will pick you up at Puerto Maldonado: Bahuaja can only be accessed by boat. All meals (vegetarian) are included, and are mainly made with ingredients we grow ourselves on site. We focus on environmental awareness and education, and as such, we want to help you immerse yourself in the Amazon by taking part in guided jungle walks, conservation and tropical ecology talks, cacao ceremonies, and a variety of useful workshops on basic permaculture, medicinal plants and sustainable living. These activities will allow you to appreciate the rainforest in a deeper, more conscious fashion, increase your awareness on conservation issues, and give you useful tools to help you on your quest for a more sustainable lifestyle back home: be the change you want to see!
