The Pig Sty is our cosy, quirky shepherd’s hut tucked away on our small rustic farm in Leicestershire – right next door to our super-friendly, hand-reared pigs. Designed as an adults-only retreat for two, it’s a place to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy the simple things: fresh air, evenings around the firepit and, of course, getting to know the piggies. The space Inside The Pig Sty you’ll find a cosy small double bed and everything you need for a relaxed, back-to-basics countryside stay. Step outside and you have your own firepit – perfect for sitting out as the evening draws in, enjoying a drink and listening to the sounds of the farm. And your neighbours? Our hand-reared pigs, who add plenty of personality to the experience. Your stay includes a comfortable small double bed, Wi-Fi, firepit with wood provided, free on-site parking and access to the shared glamping kitchen and bathroom facilities. You’ll be staying alongside our friendly, hand-reared pigs, giving you a chance to experience a little slice of farm life during your stay. Whether you’re an animal lover or simply looking for somewhere completely different from the usual hotel room, they’re likely to be one of the things you remember most about your visit. Switch off and slow down The Pig Sty is deliberately about simplicity. Spend your evening around the fire, say hello to the animals and forget about the fast pace of everyday life for a while. There’s plenty to explore nearby too, around an hour’s drive from the Peak District National Park and plenty of local parks. Good to know The Pig Sty is an adults-only stay for a maximum of two guests. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared with our other glamping guests, and parking is approximately 100 metres from the accommodation. Wood for the firepit is provided, while BBQ use is available for an additional charge. This is a genuine rustic farm stay, so expect animals, countryside sounds and all the character that comes with being close to nature.
