Attic Flat in Old School on the Cotswold way

This is a large, light and airy flat on the second floor of a 300 year old former town school, opposite an old church with ringing bells (see other details to note). It has 1 bedroom, a separate bathroom with shower and a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and seating area with an additional bed settee. On the Cotswold way and close to the centre of historic market town Wotton-Under-Edge with local shops, great eateries, a cinema, an arts centre and an outdoor pool (May to Sept). The space Our house was built 300 years ago around 1730 as the town school and then eventually became the junior school until the late 1970's and a private house in the 1990's. The top floor was converted into a spacious self-contained flat several years ago, it features the original beams and sloping ceilings. It is accessed through the a shared front door and hall and then up your own staircase of two flights and has it's own lockable door. The well equipped kitchen space has a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as a gas hob and electric fan oven. There is a table with four chairs for dining in or can double up as a workspace. The bathroom has recently been updated and has a shower, toilet and washbasin. The bedroom has a Kingsize bed with bedside tables and lights. Chairs to put your cases on and hooks for hanging things up. The seating area has a comfortable two seater sofa and two armchairs. There is a TV with an Amazon Firestick and a DVD player with a selection of DVD's for a night in. There is also a large Bed settee that has a sleeping area of 160cm (5ft) wide x 205cm (6ft 6") long. There is also a hallstand for hanging outdoor coats and a tray for muddy boots near the front door. Although we ask they are removed in the hall downstairs and either left in the hall or carried to the flat. The flat is ideal for professionals working locally, for couples and for friends taking a break together. Ramblers and cyclists are welcome - as are their muddy boots and bikes. One well behaved dog is welcome by arrangement. They are not allowed on beds or furniture and cannot be left alone in the property. Guests have the sole use of the flat. Guest access Access is via a keysafe, details provided closer to your stay. There is no access to the house garden. Dogs can be taken to an unenclosed green space to the right of the house . They must be cleared up after. Other things to note Potential for noise - We are on a road and opposite the church that has a clock that strikes every 15 mins. There is also a Bell practice on Tues. evening from 7.45pm to 9.30pm approx. and bells ring for services on a Sunday morning. The flat is at the top of the house and up two flights of steep stairs We live in the main house below the flat so are on hand for any queries or problems
