Your beautiful, accessible sanctuary

Riad Sabrawa is a brand new and beautiful sanctuary in the heart of Marrakech's bustling medina and features generous rooms, a lush courtyard and lovely sun terrace. We're only a few minutes walk from the main square yet you can be dropped off by taxi by the front door. We're fully accessible with a lift, level thresholds and walk-in showers. Ours is a wonderful riad for friends and family and our team will make sure your every need is catered for. We look forward to welcoming you. The space Ours is a very beautiful and comfortable riad, contemporary in design, but rooted in Islamic tradition. At it's centre, we have a lush, tranquil courtyard with banana plants and a fountain, which doubles as the main dining space. Opening on to it is a cosy salon with comfy sofas and a wood burning fire. The salon also has a piano, a guitar and numerous traditional African instruments, as well as games. To one side we have a very generous and fully equipped modern kitchen, which is ideal for self catering or, if you prefer, we can do the catering for you. Off the courtyard, we have the main stairwell and lift which takes you to the first floor and terrace. We have one suite on the ground floor and three on the first floor, all generous in size and very comfortable, with ensuites with walk in showers. One also features a bath tub. The terrace has dining space which is ideal for breakfast or evening meals, as well as sun loungers. As mentioned, we're a few metres away from parking, so you can be dropped off and picked up by taxi right next to the riad - if you know Marrakech, you'll know how important this is. And, uniquely, we're fully disabled friendly throughout with level thresholds, wide doorways and walk in showers. Guest access Guests can access the entire riad - it's all yours - and, as stated, it's all fully accessible for people with disabilities. But we can service the riad as required. If you want us to prepare breakfast, or evening meals, no problem, just let us know. If you want to self cater but need a little help shopping, again, no problem, just ask and we'll help you out. The same goes for organising taxis, trips, washing clothes, cleaning, whatever you like, just ask ask and we'll sort things out for you. We have a fantastic, friendly team comprising Abdel and Hassan who are close by and who's aim is to make your trip stress free and an absolute joy. Other things to note We've gone to great lengths to find a site that's accessible to anyone with mobility issues and then to create a riad which, internally, is fully accessible on all floors. It's a long story but it meant making a legal challenge to the law in Marrakech which prohibited the use of lifts in the medina - we won, thanks to help from the local disability association. It's been a long, long battle, hence the name of the riad - Sabrawa - 'patience' in the Berber language Amazigh. But we're there and look forward to welcoming guests.
