Home in Shell Valley

Situated about 30 minutes (20km) from the Asessippi Resort, this cozy family farmhouse is a good place to have as your home base if you're visiting the Parkland Region to ski, hunt or fish, or simply get away from it all. The space This warm, homey chalet-style farmhouse is very welcoming and bright with an artistic touch and is surrounded by a beautiful country setting. On the main floor there's an open-concept living area beside a well-equipped kitchen, as well as a bedroom and a full bathroom. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and a half bathroom. The master bedroom has a peaceful, unforgettable view of the large pond out front and the picturesque fields behind it. The rooms have separate temperature controls for your comfort. There's a ramp leading into the house for anyone with reduced mobility. The house gets its running water from a well. The water is high in minerals so we provide bottled drinking water for our guests, but is nice to shower in. Sorry no internet. There is a tv screen and DVD collection for a quiet night at home. Cell service is fair to good. If you need internet for a short time for business then Bin 22 in Russell, about 30 minutes away, is an excellent cafe with good internet. Guest access You'll have access to most of the house (three bedrooms, two bathrooms, studio-style kitchen and living area) except for the areas we use for storage. Enjoy walking around the beautiful old farmyard or even bring your cross-country skis. We've recently put in a fire pit near the house and firewood is available. Other things to note The house is on a heritage farm that has been owned by the same family since the land was cleared in 1913 by our great-grandfather who immigrated from Romania.
