The space The apartment on offer has one thousand square feet, two bedrooms and a sofa bed that accommodate up to five guests, one bedroom with a double bed, the other with two single beds, and the sofa bed in the living room, with two bathrooms, dining and living room, kitchen and laundry room. The building´s water delivery infrastructure (pipes etc.) was completely renovated as were all the pipes in the apartment itself so that you will get very good water pressure. For stays over a week , and for every week thereafter, an extra set of sheets and towels will be supplied. Wireless internet and cable TV for two television sets is provided. The apartment has two portable heaters. The apartment has a water heater. That means that you'll get hot water 24 hours a day when you use the sink or the shower in one of the bathrooms; the second bathroom has hot water in the shower as well. The apartment has washing and drying machines, as well as an iron and ironing board. There is also a professional laundry service right in front of the building which charges about two dollars to wash a kilogram of regular clothing. Suits and jackets cost three to three and a half dollars to dry clean. Guests get extra clean sheets and towels every week if staying more than a week Guest access All of the apartment is accessible exclusively to guests. The apartment can be reserved by only one party at a time, whether the party is made up of one person or five. Other things to note The apartment is situated between two of the most important arteries in La Paz: Avenida Arce and Avenida 6 de Agosto, which means that you have public transportation readily available right outside the building. To and from the airport the shuttle bus leaves you less than half a block away from the door and costs less than US$ fifty cents. Just ask the driver to leave you at the corner of "Avenida 6 de Agosto y calle Pedro Salazar". Go down Avenida 6 de Agosto for less than half a block, to your left you will find the apartment building Edificio El Carmen #2549. You can also take the same bus back to the airport, it leaves from Plaza Isabel la Católica which is less than a block away form the apartment and leaves every few minutes from about 7AM to 10PM. When going to the airport, go up Avenida 6 de Agosto for less than half a block until you reach Pedro Salazar where you were dropped off, and go down Pedro Salazar one block until you reach Plaza Isabel La Católica. Go further down and round the Plaza, cross Avenida Arce, head up around the Plaza until you reach the place where the buses with "Aeropuerto" (Airport) inscribed on them are, can´t miss them! A cable car station is just three blocks away. The yellow, white and blue lines converge there, which means you can go the South Side of the city, the center of town or the city of El Alto where the airport is located. The building has two entrances: one through avenida 6 de Agosto and the other is a garage gate which has a door for pedestrians that opens into Hermanos Manchego street that is half a block from avenida Arce. The building is in San Jorge, one of the best and safest residential areas of La Paz, but still close to the center of town and many of the most attractive tourist sites. Close by are the US, British and Brazilian embassies as well as the presidential residence. You're welcome to drop off your luggage an hour before check-in time, that is, by 10am (check-in is 11am) if arriving early or store your luggage in my storage room in the building after check-out and pick them up later, the cost is Bs100.
