Khaya Mandevu - a bush getaway

Khaya Mandevu is a quirky old farmhouse from the 1920’s, situated on a fish farm in mountainous and malaria-free Schoemanskloof. A covered verandah overlooks a dam below, there's a small dip pool for cooling off and a beautiful stretch of river close by with huge Matumi trees. Marked hiking trails extend from river to mountain top, with indigenous forest in 2 gorges, waterfalls, cascades, and archaeological sites to explore.
