Welcome to Bluebird Hollow, where a unique and tranquil experience awaits you. Whether you're into fishing, biking, hiking, kayaking, or simply relaxing in the spacious backyard watching bluebirds and other bird species, we have it all. Just off Route 44 in Jersey Shore, Pa we are cradled by mountains with the serene Pine Creek flowing nearby. Just a 25-minute drive away is Williamsport famed for the Little League World Series and Penn State's vibrant college football scene is 35 miles away. The space Bluebird Hollow offers three bedrooms suitable for six guests. Additionally, we provide two mattresses that can be set up in the rooms for children if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. The property has one bathroom; therefore, we request that guests use the plumbing system considerately, as it is designed solely for water, waste, and toilet paper. (Four rolls of toilet paper will be provided). There is a spacious living room with a full-size couch and 2 wing chairs that look out the huge window in front of the house. There is a TV room with a 40inch Smart Tv, where you can stream your favorite apps on. (Please delete any apps you may add so they don't get used by the next guest.) The twin bedroom has a smaller Tv for the kiddos to watch or play their video games on. The Kitchen is right off the TV room with a large farm table. The kitchen is a good size with an oven, microwave and refrigerator with ice marker. There is also a propane grill outside and a lovely Gazabo to have your lunch or dinner in. The Gazabo has lights for nighttime hang outs. The property adjoins the Pine Creek Rail Trail, allowing you to jump on your bike or use one from the shed if you didn't bring your own. We have a variety of wildlife in this area, so it's important to be cautious with any food or garbage left outside, as we do have bears, raccoons, opossums, and deer that may visit the property. We have an air conditioner and heater unit in the TV room that cools the house, along with ceiling fans to help distribute the cool air. I've left instructions on the refrigerator about keeping the house cool when it's hot and humid outside. We're now keeping the dehumidifier on to make the house feel cooler and less stuffy, unlike the closed-up feeling you get in cabins in the woods. We have just installed a fire pit. Whoo hoo. I will post pictures soon. If you need wood our lawn guy delivers wood to the house. Guest access You will have access to most of the house however the basement will be locked. Our property is not fenced in but there is a line of trees and bushes that you can see were our property ends. Our neighbor owns the field next to us. Please do not let your kiddos or dogs play on the field. You have access to the first shed where there are 8 bikes that you may use. There is also a bike pump if needed. The house is located across from Pine Creek, with a public beach nearby where you can walk to swim, kayak, or tube. We provide water maps to highlight all the great spots for kayaking or tubing. Pine Creek State Park in Waterville is just a 10-minute drive up Route 44 and features a sandy beach and breathtaking mountain views, as seen in our photo gallery. It's perfect for family outings, offering activities like swimming, fishing, and kayaking, along with the chance to spot Bald Eagles nesting by the lake. Other things to note We do allow small to med size dogs for a fee of $50.00 per dog. We will need to know the breed of your dog. Also, since we do not have a fenced in yard or space all dogs MUST be on a leash when outside at ALL times... There are a lot of people that walk or ride a bike on our street and also walk their dogs. If you use the Outside Grill, please make sure you clean the grill with a grill brush for the next guest... if you notice that's its running out of propane please let me know...
