Description

Welcome to the Tiny Timber where you will enjoy the sounds of the nearby bubbling brook along with all of the sounds of nature when you stay in this unique off grid tiny timber frame. Close the windows and enjoy the incredible peace of stepping away from the electronic world as you lounge in the comfy chairs or rest in the queen sized bed. When you are rested, enjoy hiking trails right out your door or ride your bike less than 5 minutes to get on over 60 miles of incredible mountain bike trails. The space The Tiny Timber is an off-grid one-bedroom timber-framed tiny house. The loft has a queen-size bed accessed by a ladder, so you will need to feel comfortable using one to enjoy your stay here. There is also a fold-out chair for one person to sleep in downstairs. The ladder folds out of the way when not in use. The kitchen includes a two-burner propane cooktop, coffee maker, small refrigerator, and sink. As this is a fully contained building, the water is stored in 5-gallon jugs in the closet, and placed under the sink when more is needed. The house contains 25 gallons of water, if you need more, please let us know! The bathroom contains a Nature's Head Composting Toilet. As the outdoor shower has not yet been completed there is no shower at the moment, so bathing wipes are in the bathroom for your convenience. The Tiny Timber is peaceful! It has no WiFi and very limited cell service to keep the world at bay. The Tiny Timber sits at the edge of a vernal pond which provides the most incredible sounds of nature throughout the spring summer and fall. The gravel patio has two Adirondack chairs and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Guest access As our guest, you will park in our parking lot and walk past our house about 500 feet up to the Tiny Timber. The long driveway construction has been slowed down by the rainy year that we've had. (Come back next year and drive all the way up the the house!) The Tiny Timber has a combination lock, we will send the code to you prior to your arrival. You are also welcome to access the hiking and biking trails of the Hinesburg Town Forest via our access trail just outside the Tiny Timber. You may also enjoy the Texas Hill Brook at the front of our property. The Tiny Timber does not have Wi-Fi and has very minimal cell coverage. Enjoy some unplugged time! But if you drive an EV please let us know so we can provide you access to our level two EV charger! Other things to note The Tiny Timber is tiny, not a great place for big groups. But great for up to two adults and 1-2 children at MAX! 😁 There is very limited connectivity on the property so make sure you read the arrival guide and watch the arrival videos before you get here. The Tiny Timber has no shower, we provide bathing wipes and access to natural water sources, but it’s not a traditional hotel room! Many people have stayed only one night based on these truths, and their only complaint upon leaving has been that they should have stayed longer! It is an incredibly restful retreat. We hope you enjoy!
