Description
Our tiny 1920s cottage was built in the historic Heights neighborhood, northeast of downtown Houston. I purchased it from the great grandson of the original owner in 2010 and moved it to where it now resides. To find out more about its history, you will need to come see it in person! The space Investors were buying property and demolishing homes to make room for 3 story condos on a postage stamp sized lot. I purchased the house, moved it in 2010. It has since been renovated, but the structure and interior walls haven't changed. You won't find painted sheetrock, but instead you will see the original boards, full of flaws and lots of character! The cottage is comparable to a tiny house in today's standards. Keep in mind, it was built in the 1920s, no vaulted ceilings and massive rooms! Upon entering, you will see an open concept floorplan with a loveseat, chair and coffee table, separated by counter top dining. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, pots, and pans. It has a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, and a coffee maker. The cottage has one bedroom with a queen bed, large closet, and a desk for those of you needing to work remotely. The bathroom has a shower, but no tub. Located between Old Magnolia and Montgomery, we're less than a 10 minute drive to the Texas Renaissance Festival, Vrazy Train Bar and Music Venue? Bernhardt's Winery, Lone Pint Brewery, Frankenbolt's Brewery, and multiple eateries. Centrally located amongst dozens of wedding venues with easy access to Hwy 249 and Hwy 105, its ideal for those of you traveling from out of town. If you're looking for a cozy spot with a laid back vibe, no need to look any further. Our cottage is perfect for solo travelers, couples, business professionals or construction workers who prefer a place to kick back and relax.
