This spacious room at the Herenmarkt, less than a 10-minute walk from the Central Station and Dam Square, at the end of the Herengracht and close to Jordaan, can accommodate 3 people. It is located on the attic floor of a five-storey building and accessed directly with a small elevator (83 x 80 cm, may not be suitable for claustrophobic people). The room is characterised by the beautiful original roof trusses and hoist beam and has two beds, sleeping 2 + 1 adults (or 2 children on request). The space This cozy bnb with a historic character has two beds: a (queen-sized) bed of 160 cm wide and a loft bed of 120 cm wide on top of the en-suite bathroom that is accessible by an extendable loft ladder. With this the room can sleep a maximum of 3 adults (or on request 2 adults and 2 children aged approximately 5 to 10 years). The room has a small dining / lounge area and a private en-suite bathroom. The beautiful original roof trusses and hoist beam will turn your stay into a typical historic Amsterdam experience. The electrical fireplace adds a great sense of Dutch "gezelligheid" (cosiness). The building has recently been completely renovated, including replacing the gas connection with geothermal heating and solar panels. This bnb is situated in the seventeenth century part of the city, in a quiet street between the famous canal belt and the lively Haarlemmerstraat and Haarlemmerdijk with 275 shops, restaurants and bars. Guest access Guests have the private use of the room and en-suite bathroom. The elevator opens straight into the room providing comfort as well as privacy. The small window in the elevator door on the 3rd floor has been darkened so guests are not bothered by the elevator light at night. Other things to note Breakfast is not served, but guests can make coffee or tea and prepare their own breakfast. Everything you might need for a simple breakfast is present, but there are no cooking facilities (such as a stove or microwave, following the regulations of the municipality of Amsterdam), and no separate sink either. There are cleaning products to wash plates, etc., in the small bathroom sink. Of course, there are also plenty of breakfast places, as well as supermarkets and bakeries close by. This is also a dog-friendly bnb: a socialised dog (up to approximately 15 kg) can be brought along on request. After approval, an additional fee of €15 per stay will be charged. On request, a dog bed for small to medium-sized (approximately 15 kg) dogs is available for free. We suggest you bring your dog's blanket to make it feel more at home. Please note that two dogs also live in the building. A small, very social white dog lives in your host's apartment, but does not enter the accommodation uninvited. The apartment on the ground floor houses a medium-sized and more alert yet harmless brown dog that sometimes starts barking when people enter the communal hall.
